Friendly welcome. Clean room and good food choices at breakfast
Breakfast staff unhelpful tried to split a wedding party of 8 between 2 tables wouldn't listen when explaining no attempt made to put tables together even when there was enough room. One party was refused breakfast on the first day after a problem with the booking even though an hour later it was open to the public to purchase breakfast. Was offered milk for rooms in a morning which wasn't adequate for more than one drink each which for a stay of over £200 A NIGHT was poor.

The property was well located and offered a short walk to most of the attractions and eating establishments.
The room was large and airy. Open windows were a bonus. The stay in the hotel was overshadowed by the thought of taking my suitcase down stairs. This worried me.
The bathroom was a tripping hazard. The bathe was elevated with a step to get in snd out of it. The area became wet and do was a safety hazard.
There were no central light switches bear the bed which made things difficult when retiring for the evening.
The staff were rude. The chap who carried by suitcase to my room did it under sufferance and made his feelings known. On two occasions the women at the front desk were rude, once when I was returning to my room she must have thought I got the wrong hotel and the second occasions when I carried my vag down to reception from the second floor I was told this was not a storage area. I had to retrace my steps to get the rest of my stuff. I could not carry it all down in one go.
Great location and plenty of character. Beautiful staircase. Room comfortable with good facilities.
Room for breakfast was very warm. Heating on when weather been so good!

We stayed in terrace room “thyme” it was so cute, loved the toiletries, the little chocolates, the selection of teas and coffee. Breakfast was excellent. Ideal location for everywhere and everything

Our room was a terrace room which was more like a garden pod it was small and no privacy had to have the blinds drawn at all times so no natural light people in the conservatory could see straight in the room and also people using the stairwell could see right in not very private at all. When I chose a terrace room I thought it would be a room with terrace view not a pod in the garden
Breakfast was very nice, plenty of choice from the buffet and the menu. loved the location but I did think the room was overpriced, quite small. All of the staff were very helpful especially young lady on reception.
Just a small thing, a long mirror in the room, every hotel room should have one
Property is a lovely property and in a great location. Staff were lovely and helpful.
We stayed in one of the rooms at the back of property and it’s quite close to the bar and there is a little area outside this is on top of the rooms. I would suggest they seperate that off just for residents
