Nice hotel in a fantastic location with great staff!
Pros:

Great location, clean room, extremely friendly staff and there is a washer/dryer which is a huge plus!!

Cons:

Not much. Room was on the small side but not too bad for Japan standards!

Pros:

Great location close to Gion and a short walk to restaurants etc and the train line. Very comfortable and good sized room with quality amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect for a Kyoto trip
Pros:

The room we stayed in was clean and tidy. After a week in Tokyo and arriving at Miru, we immediately felt calm and relaxed. The facilities were great and everything was clean and comfortable. The location was superb, absolutely stunning and close to anything and everything. This was also for our honeymoon and the hotel gave us a little something that made the occasion feel extra special. Would definitely stay here again.

One of the best hotel experience
Pros:

Everything. Miru Kyoto Gion is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Japan. Extraordinary hosting, great location, rooms were super cozy, sparkling clean and really big comparing to average Japanese hotel rooms. I couldn’t enjoy it more and would definitely stop by again.

A perfect place to call home for however long.
Pros:

It was exceptionally clean and well kept- location excellent and staff outstanding! The water pressure in the shower set a new level of expectation- top notch. The shower products were excellent with a pleasant aroma and wonderful texture.

Cons:

With all the local coffee roasters and diversity of coffees - the morning coffee was not outstanding, however this is so inconsequential when there are so many nearby coffee shops.

Lovely location to explore the beautiful Kyoto
Pros:

Location was perfect, very near to the Geisha area as well as a short walk to various temples, lots of good places to eat. The appartment was very modern, clean and still contemporary Japan.

Lovely ryokan in a terrific quiet location away from the tourist crowd.
Pros:

Authentic Japanese-style room, very clean, good service, morning coffee and pastries, very good location. A tad small for 3 people, but I appreciated that they accommodated our adult son to keep the family together and not have to pay for a separate room, which was a cost-savings.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike!

Fantastic stay in the heart of Gion
Pros:

Location is great. The property is located on a quiet street but you can get to main areas in Gion very quickly. Also easy access to both Sanjo & Gion subway stations. Seven Eleven two doors down. The room was nicely designed & had all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. Would certainly stay again if visiting Kyoto.
