The Crown Rooms

Check in wasn’t until 3pm which is fine, however the actually accommodation didn’t open till 3pm meaning we couldn’t drop our bags off anywhere and we were not made aware of this. We couldn’t get in contact with the property either.

Some dust, shower needed deep cleaning, some small holes in the wall, luggage rack was partly broken, room was very warm despite the fan

La pulizia della stanza è sicuramente da migliorare, c’era polvere e anche qualche ragnatela. In più consiglierei di mettere a disposizione una bottiglia d’acqua da bere. Avrei voluto cenare lì ma la cucina alle 20 e qualcosa era già chiusa quindi non abbiamo potuto usufruire di questo “servizio” (a pagamento ovviamente).

The gate did not properly open with the code. I could not get in one morning and I called the hotel and they did not enter. I was not going to wait around until they called me back so I literally had to climb on the plant next to the door and climb the fence to get in… They called me back 1,5 hours later. I have not seen a single employee ever.

It’s located in the pub so it’s super noisy. There is no reception. The bartenders also the cleaners as it seems, but I doubt the room was cleaned at all. There was an old used tissue on the floor. The toilet paper had brown stains and the towel had a clear „dirty hand“ mark. There was dust and hairs laying on the floor.
This room was however very expensive, so I made it clear that such service is not acceptable for that price and was promised by the hotel and the booking team a reimbursement. At the end, they have not reached an agreement, which I interpret as cheating/ fraud. Hence, I do not recommend staying at this place and I do not recommend using booking.

The beer!, trendy fruity stuff. I suppose that I think every London pub, has London Pride on draught or Another traditional bitter. I am adaptable l drank Guinness! Rant over.

The only downside for me was the noise from the main road. I’m not used to staying somewhere with quite so much road noise, so I was woken up a few times during the night. Unfortunately, it was too warm to keep the window closed. This is obviously very individual and may not bother other guests.
One small thing that could be improved is the bottom of the shower, particularly the corners, which looked like they could do with a good scrub as there was some pink build-up.
Overall, though, I had a lovely stay and felt it was very good value for money. Thank you to all the friendly staff!

Dark room, tv didn’t work except apps, bedside light didn’t seem to work, shower temp control not easy.
