Hotel il Tiglio is a gem and a wonderful place to stay if you are in the Castel di Sangro area!
Pros:

Our host, Mario, was exceptional! You could not ask for a warmer welcome. He helped with everything from booking dinner reservations to providing directions to places. He truly loves his work. The hotel is lovely, welcoming, very clean and decorated in classic old Italian style (which Mario told us he would be updating soon but will keep the Italian charm of the place). Breakfasts were wonderful with fresh pastries made each morning on site by Massimo. Hotel Il Tiglio is a gem of a place and Castel di Sangro is a lovely spot to visit especially for active and outdoorsy people.

There was nothing that we did not like.
