Perfect location
Staff was emotionless. Valet guys/girls were the nicest. Bathroom looked like a public shower at the beach (rusty). TV was from 2010… no Netflix etc. for that money I would’ve expected something different.
We loved our stay at the Palmetto Charleston. We travelled from Belfast, Northern Ireland for our wedding anniversary trip and were greeted to a complimentary bottle of wine from the hotel; a fantastic start to our stay. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had every amenity we could need. We loved the stylish cocktail bar in the reception and the seating area made for a great place to have a coffee in the morning. The location was fantastic; within a few minutes walk from all of the main sights in Charleston and with plenty of nearby restaurants and bars. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming here and would love to stay again.
Nothing
The room although small still felt spacious. Location was excellent and the staff was phenomenal. Gracious, friendly, and the young lady that gave us the complimentary bottle of champagne for our anniversary was absolutely AMAZING!!!
Having to leave.
The luxury of staying in the historic district helped make the our stay even more memorable. We were able to enjoy the location and rest before going out to enjoy the food, parks, and atmosphere of Charleston. All of which were at our doorstep.
Never had a room with "European" balcony doors, and when we tried to open our balcony doors, we thought they were broken and we were afraid to open them. When I reported it at check out, I was informed that was the way they are designed. Wish I would have known that so that we could have enjoyed the balcony during our stay.
Super clean, within walking distance to everything I needed.
Location. Attentive staff. Love the bar.
It’s near alot of restaurants
There was a roach in my room, very shocked by it…
Some of the staff weren’t very friendly..
Beautiful rooms, great location, fabulous breakfast, nice bar with great espresso martinis and wonderful, friendly and helpful staff.
The alley is awfully load at very early hours of the morning.
Convenient to restaurants
No chair in room, just a stool to watch TV - I have 10 screws and 2 rods fuzing my spine, so I was u comfortable when in the room.
The location is perfect for visiting Charleston!
We were very pleased with everything.
Close proximity to attractions and food.
Breakfast left alot to be desired ot
Well decorated, excellent location
Housekeeping was not thorough. One night they didn’t even come by the time we got back at 5 PM. Another day they did come but didn’t do a thorough job - bed untidy, room in general disarray. Our first night the roof started leaking in the bathroom and I tripped on the puddle, which is a big deal at 7 months pregnant. The AC was out in our room when we got there. We didn’t get any sleep. They fixed it all the next day, which we appreciated. The valet didn’t offer to help with bags or open the door. The breakfast was stale. These are fundamental things that basic hotels understand. Lacking these basics are particularly disappointing when you are paying close to $600 a night.
