Great weekend trip

Comfortable hotel, shame about the food
Pros:

Lovely hotel, a long trek to our room and no offer of help

Cons:

The food, although good quality was all cold, we has a breakfast, a room service meal and a meal after a funeral we were attending, every meal was stone cold, not even Luke warm. No walk in or adjustable shower

Cons:

The staff never smiled once they look very unhappy in the jobs. My room heating would not turn off and made sleep very uncomfortable, there was no fresh air in the room, my tv remote control didn’t work either , it’s a tiny tv compared to other 4 stars hotels . It’s a very tired property with cheap tacky coloured lighting in the very strange locations. Not sure what vibe they are trying to go with.

Cleanliness, comfort and really friendly staff.
Pros:

Room was very comfy and clean. Usual tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were lovely. I didn't encounter any staff member that wasn't friendly and helpful. Overall a perfect location for my conference stay and a very positive experience.

Pros:

Very accessible, they were very accommodating giving us interconnected rooms.
Good breakfast and bar food was good also.

Cons:

The front door opens out into the flow of the wheelchair ramp, meaning the wheelchair user has to move around the door. Just a small thing. A little face lift also would be good but that's been very persnickety.
