A completely unhygienic and poorly managed property, fails on basic standards of hospitality.
Pros:

The location and the view were the only saving grace. Rest everything was far from promised.

Cons:

The pictures of Trails of Bheta tell a completely different story from the reality on the ground. It was a thoroughly disappointing stay that completely ruined our experience.

To begin with, the hygiene was unacceptable. The bed linen was dirty - we found hair strands on the pillows and a cigarette lighter between the sheets, which clearly proved the bedding hadn't been changed since the previous guests checked out. The drinking water in the room was provided in an old, reused "Frooti" plastic bottle. We all appreciate sustainability, but a decent-quality reusable plastic or steel bottle is a basic health and hospitality standard. To make matters worse, the drinking glasses were covered in visible hand stains; I actually nauseated when I poured water into them.

The common spaces were no better. The dining/recreation room was caked in dust. Except for the exact spot where the food was placed, the entire table was laced with grime and old food deposits. Furthermore, despite being advertised as "kid-friendly," there wasn't a single functional activity available - even the football was popped and damaged.

The management also seems to completely exploit their staff. There was only one female staff member, Mamta, who was expected to clean, cook, manage check-ins. Because she was entirely overwhelmed, she repeatedly suggested us to just order egg dishes, as it was the only thing she had time to make. It is deeply unfair to the staff, and certainly not the experience a paying guest expects.

While I knew I was booking a "homestay," this place is far from it. Cleanliness and basic hygiene are the foundation blocks of hospitality, both of which are completely missing here.

A magical homestay experience in the Himalayan region!
Pros:

I stayed more than a month at this beautiful place. Bright spacious rooms with gorgeous views of the lush green valley, and wide open spaces in the property where I loved playing basketball, badminton, cricket and table-tennis - imagine enjoying all of this in the fresh air of the mountains!

And what a fantastic location - I could view the snow-capped Himalayas after a mere 15min hike from the homestay - my favorite morning routine there. If you're looking for staying in a quiet, clean and homely environment, away from the hustle-bustle of touristy sites,Trails Of Bheta is the place to be!

The owners (Lispa ji and Pankaj ji) are very open, welcoming and kind people - they made sure I'm comfortable and were always accommodative to my requests. It was such a pleasure sharing stories, playing sports and enjoying the nature together. And thanks for the bi-weekly parties organized by the house!

The caretaker (Mamta ji) prepared delicious and hygienic food tailored to my requirments - truly the best food I've had during my travels! And she always strived to keep the place squeaky clean. Her boys made the stay vibrant and were happy to help plan nearby trips, accompany on the trails (and were always too ready for a game of cricket).

And if you're a dog-lover, you can always give treats to Rocky!

Looking forward to be back again :)

The caretaker, Mamtaji, is an exceptional host. She made great food and arranged a fire at the property. It has lot of open space for sports etc.

Cons:

If the owner can install solar panels for electricity then it would be great.

Relaxed and delightful stay!
Pros:

We had a fantastic experience at this homestay! We booked a spacious family room with a generous balcony, and the property itself is stunning. Located in the serene village of Bheta, it’s close to Garur (3 km) and Baijnath (6 km), both of which has vibrant market areas. If you’re seeking a stay near Kausani, I highly recommend this property in Bheta, as Kausani’s market is quite small in comparison. Additionally, Bheta offers a peaceful retreat. Since this place is located at slightly lower altitude, it’s slightly warmer than Kausani.

We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Mrs. Mishra and her father-in-law, Mr. Lohumi. They were incredibly welcoming, and Mr. Lohumi even treated us to fresh guava from his farm, which was a delightful touch.

A special thank you to Mamta didi for her delicious pahadi dishes, her cooking is truly magical! ✨
She offered generous portion sizes that left us unable to resist overeating! We truly enjoyed every bite.

Their hospitality made our stay unforgettable.
