Great location inside the fort, and for great value, only surpassed by the friendly staff
Pros:

Naushi and Fayas and rilwan were amazing during our stay, cooking an authentic breakfast for us on request while also doing toast and eggs for a different table. I cannot stress how welcoming they were and attentive during our stay.

Highly recommend this as your base for exploring Galle and beyond!
Pros:

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cara Galle Fort. The hotel was a lovely quiet space in the bustling Fort. The interior of the house is beautiful and includes a comfy courtyard where guests can eat, work or lounge.

The room had a very comfortable bed, large shower and all necessities needed but where Cara truly stands out is both the kindness of the staff and the phenomenal breakfast.

This was our first experience of Sri Lankan breakfast and we can confidently say it's now one of our favourites. While we had not initially chosen to book with breakfast included we ended up requesting breakfast for all the mornings we stayed - it's that good (if you can eat a little spicy)!

We also received very kind help and recommendations from the staff who were always willing to go the extra mile to make us feel perfectly comfortable.

Pros:

Perfect location and such clean and well air conditioned room ! The staff are extremely lovely and very helpful with any of your questions. The breakfast was delicious and so filling, would 100% return to the Cara Galle Fort

Nicht so sauber, muffig, Kühlschrank stinkt, schmutzige Aircon, Ratten oder sonstiges Getier auf dem Dach. Gläser von anderen Gästen standen tagelang rum...

Pros:

非常满意的一次入住！酒店虽然不是很大，但打扫得干干净净，住着很舒心。WiFi信号也还不错，能满足日常需求。特别想夸夸这里的员工，服务真的太贴心了！因为我们团队早餐安排得早，员工不仅热情地帮我们张罗，还注意到我们的司机师傅没吃早饭，主动送了早餐过去，让司机大哥特别感动。员工家的小朋友也很可爱有礼貌，我们整个团队的朋友都非常喜欢他。这样有人情味的酒店，整体体验太棒了，必须强烈推荐！

Pros:

The room was spacious and the bed was good. There was good AC and a fan. The location insidd the Fort is also very good, as everything is pretty walkable.

Cons:

It can be very noisy in the room, as it is next to the main "dining" area and the door is a normal residential room door, not a proper door as you would expect from a hotel room. Also, the door has a stained glass window, so you get daylight into the room that you cannot block out.

The bathroom is somewhat bad, with the shower in front of the sink and toilet so everything gets wet when showering. Also, we weren't even provided an extra towel for the floor, so the bathroom floor was just fully wet after showering. There was also a faint bad smell in the bathroom.

Cooperative Staff and helpful.

Cons:

No TV in room, in Lounge TV was not working. Internet collapses for good between 10 pm and 11 pm. They have limited GB for the hotel and apparently dont want to buy more.

Dans la vieille ville sans les prix de la vieille ville.
Pros:

Le privilège d’être dans la citadelle sans se ruiner. Hôtel confortable très bien placé et au personnel prêt à vous aider au moindre problème. Possibilité de louer des scooters.

Mitarbeiter super freundlich, die Lage war hervorragend. Ansonsten sehr sauber, ruhig und ein umfangreiches und leckeres Frühstück.

Wrong room description. It was stated that the room had a private bathroom, but this was not the case. It was a room with a shared bathroom. You should really correct this in the description of your rooms on the booking website.
