The property was gorgeous with big rooms and good air conditioning (which was much needed in the tropical heat). It was also not very deep into the fort so it was easy to find. The manager also provided us early checkin.
The plumbing was not good, the sink broke so we had to use the bath tap everytime.

The staff was very good and friendly. We had some special request concerning food, they tried to accommodate us with the best of their ability. Location was very good, right in the middle of the lively place. Rooms were big with all amenities.

Emplacement idéal dans le fort , ses magasins et nombreux restaurants. Chambre spacieuse pour 1 personne. Petit déjeuner basique mais qui fait le travail.
1 personne qui fait la reception, le service petit déjeuner, le nettoyage des chambres et des parties communes, c'est innadmissible. De l'exploitation pure et simple pour éviter de payer plusieurs employés. . Évidement ce manque de personnel rallonge les délais pour tout, par exemple 30 minutes pour un café le matin.
A chacun son travail, a chacun son poste. On ne mélange pas les postes.

Naushi and Fayas and rilwan were amazing during our stay, cooking an authentic breakfast for us on request while also doing toast and eggs for a different table. I cannot stress how welcoming they were and attentive during our stay.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cara Galle Fort. The hotel was a lovely quiet space in the bustling Fort. The interior of the house is beautiful and includes a comfy courtyard where guests can eat, work or lounge.
The room had a very comfortable bed, large shower and all necessities needed but where Cara truly stands out is both the kindness of the staff and the phenomenal breakfast.
This was our first experience of Sri Lankan breakfast and we can confidently say it's now one of our favourites. While we had not initially chosen to book with breakfast included we ended up requesting breakfast for all the mornings we stayed - it's that good (if you can eat a little spicy)!
We also received very kind help and recommendations from the staff who were always willing to go the extra mile to make us feel perfectly comfortable.

Nicht so sauber, muffig, Kühlschrank stinkt, schmutzige Aircon, Ratten oder sonstiges Getier auf dem Dach. Gläser von anderen Gästen standen tagelang rum...
Perfect location and such clean and well air conditioned room ! The staff are extremely lovely and very helpful with any of your questions. The breakfast was delicious and so filling, would 100% return to the Cara Galle Fort
非常满意的一次入住！酒店虽然不是很大，但打扫得干干净净，住着很舒心。WiFi信号也还不错，能满足日常需求。特别想夸夸这里的员工，服务真的太贴心了！因为我们团队早餐安排得早，员工不仅热情地帮我们张罗，还注意到我们的司机师傅没吃早饭，主动送了早餐过去，让司机大哥特别感动。员工家的小朋友也很可爱有礼貌，我们整个团队的朋友都非常喜欢他。这样有人情味的酒店，整体体验太棒了，必须强烈推荐！

The room was spacious and the bed was good. There was good AC and a fan. The location insidd the Fort is also very good, as everything is pretty walkable.
It can be very noisy in the room, as it is next to the main "dining" area and the door is a normal residential room door, not a proper door as you would expect from a hotel room. Also, the door has a stained glass window, so you get daylight into the room that you cannot block out.
The bathroom is somewhat bad, with the shower in front of the sink and toilet so everything gets wet when showering. Also, we weren't even provided an extra towel for the floor, so the bathroom floor was just fully wet after showering. There was also a faint bad smell in the bathroom.
早餐令我滿意，酒店地點接近車站方便我另一天的行程，附近亦都有餐廳可供選擇。
洗澡要走到房間外的廁所進行感覺不方便
