Location and breakfast views were incredible. Pontaillac has so much to offer and this hotel is right in the main part with only a short walk to the restaurants and casino
Step free access was challenging, we had a pram and had to carry it up and down quite a few flights of steps. They did have a lift but not to the floor we were on, nothing they can probably do but should be advertised
L’établissement est très bien situé, les chambres sont propres, confortables et conformes à nos attentes. La vue est magnifique et a largement contribué à rendre notre séjour agréable. Le cadre est calme et l’hôtel est globalement très bien entretenu.
Bon petit déjeuner.
Nous avons été déçus par le manque d’attention de la part du personnel. Les échanges ont été très limités et nous avons eu l’impression d’être livrés à nous-mêmes.
À notre arrivée, nous avons dû régler un supplément de 45 € pour notre petit chien (3 nuits), sans qu’aucune prestation particulière ne nous soit expliquée. À part le retrait du dessus de lit, nous n’avons pas compris à quoi correspondait ce tarif.
Nous avons également demandé où stationner et il nous a été conseillé de nous garer dans les rues voisines, alors que des places étaient disponibles à l’arrière de l’hôtel. Étant enceinte de 6 mois et avec un enfant en bas âge, nous avons porté nos bagages et la poussette dans les nombreux escaliers avant de découvrir, par hasard le lendemain, qu’un accès de plain-pied avec ascenseur existait à l’arrière de l’établissement. Un simple renseignement à notre arrivée nous aurait évité bien des difficultés et nous aurait permis de décharger la voiture plus facilement.
Enfin, nous avions signalé la présence de notre enfant avec un lit parapluie, mais aucune serviette ne lui a été fournie. Les bouteilles d’eau étaient prévues uniquement pour les adultes. Dans l’ensemble, nous avons trouvé le service peu attentif aux besoins des familles.
Excellent position overlooking the beach. The hotel bedroom was compact but perfect for a short stay. Very nice selection at breakfast and lovely to eat on the balcony overlooking the view.

Lack of parking for residents
L’établissement est très propre et fraîchement ré nové, l’accueil est super et le personnel est au petits soins.
Nous avons passé trois jours parfaits, à l’écart de l’agitation du centre-ville tout en étant très proche de celui-ci.
Le petit-déjeuner est très bon et propose tout de même une belle variété de produits pour cette catégorie d’établissement, avec la vue mer qui permet de commencer la journée du bon pied.
Staff, room and food was exceptional. We speak absolutely no French and Alexis (Alexia) greeted us with warmth and friendliness and spoke perfect English but also allowed us to attempt our horrible French. She went out of her way during our entire stay to make sure we were comfortable and having a wonderful experience in Pontaillac. The room was exceptional. At a very reasonable price we had a view of the beach from every window. We woke up with surfers and fell asleep under the stars. Breakfast was all you can eat European style and delicious. Pontaillac is a beautiful community with an easy walk to Royan a long the Atlantic coastline. Deep in history and hospitality this is a must stay for travelers in SW France. Its a 5 star experience at a 3 star price.
