Disappointed
Cons:

I booked and paid for a Deluxe King Room for two nights while attending a family funeral. Upon arrival, I was given a room that lacked the paid-for amenities described in the reservation.

When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the front desk clerk, instead of taking responsibility or trying to make things right, they immediately shifted the blame, claiming that Booking.com provides "misleading and incorrect information." It is insulting as a paying customer to stand there and listen to the on-site front desk blame a third-party platform rather than addressing the problem in front of them. Only a pull-out cot was offered.

If the online listings are inaccurate, it is the business owner’s responsibility to audit and correct them—not the guest's problem to absorb.

I was told the manager would contact me the following morning to resolve the issue. The manager never reached out. I spoke with the front desk clerk again the next day, but once again, no effort was made to remedy the situation; the property manager did not reach out, and no refund or credit was offered to cover the price difference for getting a downgraded room.
Complete lack of accountability.

Despite the Inn's and bar's unique historic status, I would NOT recommend a stay, as the rooms are off in an annex compound blocks away and the room I paid for was not provided. "Bait and switch" comes to mind.

Stop in, have a drink or a bite to eat, but find another location to stay, or be prepared to walk away feeling deceived and your credit card charged in full.

Toller Zwischenstopp in Rhinebeck
Pros:

Not as nice as it looks online
Pros:

Excellent location in the middle of town

Cons:

1) The room was not in the inn but in a little back building a block and a half away. No notice of that when I booked.
2) The room was large and clean, but the bathroom was tiny with a motel-style bathtub/shower curtain.
3) The walls and floors are thin. I heard upstairs neighbor's every step and toilet flush.
4) Could not get the room dark to sleep - light leaked around door, and the drapes were poor.
With noise and light, it was not a good night's sleep.

Nice historic hotel, not best service, rooms OK
Pros:

The property was very cool, and conveniently located. Very clean. I enjoyed learning some of its history.

Cons:

The rooms are not very noise-proof - we heard every footstep from the rooms above us all throughout the night. The check in staff were not so helpful, and the communication was poor (emails left unanswered, took a long time to answer basic questions or provide accurate information).

The Delamater Inn is comfort and class at its best!
Pros:

At first, we were very disappointed that we were not staying at the Beekman itself, but down the road at Delamater. On the outside, it looks like a condo complex, but the room was EXCEPTIONAL! Hardwood floors, fireplace, colonial style decor, complementary sherry (!), beautiful bathroom facilities...we were amazed and delighted! And we did not expect to have breakfast included, but it was! We loved our stay!

Cons:

My booking.com's confirmation listed room price as $213 charged to my credit card. I opted to put the room cost on my debit card. Did not receive a written receipt, but when I got home, my online banking showed the charge was 20 dollars more...$233. I should have been on top of this when we registered.
