Excellent stay and facilities the night staff was very very good
Fijne rustige plek!
Beetje ver van alles af.
La situation au bord du Gange est parfaite, dans un quartier relativement calme la nuit, le personnel est accueillant et serviable.
La salle de bains est simple et rudimentaire.
Food was decent.
The rooms given to us were not at all as per what we had seen and booked. We had booked "premium rooms" with Ganga view. Upon entering we realized one side of the room opened into a tin shed roof (picture attached) and had no view, with curtains having to be kept close for privacy. The other side had a common corridor with public bypassing which again meant public footfall and yet again had to remain closed (picture attached with strangers in photo). The ghat where the hotel did their Ganga Aarti was absolutely filthy - covered in doog poop, trash, cigarette stubs, empty matchboxes etc - and shamelessly no one wanted to take any responsibility to at least clean the area around where prayers were being offered. When he escorted us to the room, the bell boy switched the Ac on to 31°C, and left without explaining anything. We stumbled around and had to repeatedly call them to figure out basics. We paid a steep amount (approx upto ₹12k per night) for 2 nights expecting premium view, facilities and service - a price which not only did not reflect in what we received (see pic of room attached), but was clearly a HUGELY inflated price which we realized upon arriving at the property. When questioned about it, some vague explanation was provided to us which did not make much sense. Upon asking for extra water, we were told they supply only two waters and would charge us for more. The most ridiculous thing is the pictures shown of the property on the booking platform shows a swimming pool, which turned out to be of another sister property and not of this one, which to us seemed utterly misleading. This one was a mid level property with misleading information and prices that charged us high level property rates. We cut short out trip within the first day and returned home. Thankfully booking.com helped out with the refund for the second day's stay understanding our situation.
The room was bit suffocating
The room
Proximity to river. A young waiter took great care to understand my daughters dietary needs as she is a coeliac and she remained well during our stay.
Bathroom could do with an update...all very tired looking. Was clean but grouting very stained so difficult to tell.
The location of property is good
Rooms are not good and facilities are not up to mark
The location was beautiful, opening up to a lovely promenade that took you to lovely ghats and to Triveni Ghat. The Hotel was away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The shower needed attention and having a bucket bath, though nostalgic gets tiresome after a few days. There was no Safe in my room. The Hotel also doesn't accept international card payments, though it accepted the reservation on an international card. The plunge pool was drained and empty.
The restaurant staff was very welcoming, accommodating, friendly and polite
Staff were fantastic and facilities were good. Nice and quiet.
Breakfast was ordinary
Location was good
Jyothi the massage therapist was good!
Room on 1st floor no privacy, close to patio was noisy and we had to close the curtains all the time which defeated the purpose of a room with a view of the Ganges!
On the banks of Ganga
