Pleasant Accommodation with wonderful staff
Pros:

Lovely clean rooms and hosts are fantastic and always happy to help. The beach is beautiful and still lovely for swimming in the morning. Food was nice.

Cons:

We did chose accommodation for pool relax before leaving Sri Lanka and unfortunately one day this was being used by local Muslim family with fully dressed women swimming so was not comfortable to swim with swimsuits at the same time. Wifi is not good at this accommodation. With limited use of pool we didn’t think property was good value.

Eine Oase am Ozean
Pros:

We came as guests and left as friends...anstatt 2 Tagen blieben wir 7...wir kamen uns vor wie in einer Oase in diesen heißen Tagen - es gab einen herrlichen Pool in einem wunderschön gepflegten Garten. Und da waren da noch Elisabeth und Max, die beiden Seelen des Hauses...

Auch wenn ich noch so lange nachdenke...

Pros:

We had a hectic two week tour of Sri Lanka and really appreciated spending our last two nights in peace and quiet at Spice of Ceylon. It's a beautiful little seaside hotel in a laid back fishing town - the perfect setting to relax and escape the busyness of the rest of the country.

We appreciated that they had a pool as we found the ocean a bit too rough for easy swimming.

All the food we ate there was delicious and fresh.

The hosts were lovely and helpful and their staff were all so friendly. We really enjoyed talking with them.

Relaxing place!
Pros:

Very friendly owners and other staff. Large, clean rooms. Lovely athmosphere in the house. Beach is perfect for swimming and It's entertaining to watch how fishermen catch their daily catch. Pool was perfect for refreshing. Amazing sunsets from terrace!

Fantastic , relaxing stay.
Pros:

Beautiful , spacious accommodation with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Elisabeth , Max and team are really welcoming and create a relaxed atmosphere. They kindly lent us bikes so that we could explore the local area. The sunsets from the balcony are incredible. We enjoyed dinner at the property on both nights of our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing- all was good.

Belle chambre style coloniale et propriétaires adorables
Pros:

Établissement parfaitement tenu par un couple adorable. Mention spéciale à la propriétaire qui a été aux petits soins pour nous et notre fille. Le gérant est aussi très gentil et disponible. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables. La salle de bain est tres bien avec une douche chaude. Les repas et petit-déjeuner sont excellents. La piscine est très appréciable après une journée bien chaude !

Cons:

Un petit peu loin de la ville mais au pied de la plage. Les propriétaires nous ont appelé des tuktuk à chaque fois que nous en avons eu besoin.

Proximity to the sea was great but being so far out of town limited exploration of the area.
Cool, breezy hotel, it was nice not to have to use A/C
fHosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Balcony overlooking gardens and sea was delightful.

Marvelous , Relaxing & Rejuvenating

Fantastisch, sehr zu empfehlen ❤️
Pros:

Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und verfügen über bequeme, große Betten. Der Speisesaal und die Yogahalle sind ebenfalls sehr schön. Alles ist äußerst sauber.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel, das nur durch eine Straße vom Strand getrennt ist. Es ist von einem wunderschönen Garten mit Pool umgeben und liegt am Rande eines Dorfes, wo man Sri Lanka noch sehr authentisch erleben kann – weit weg von Tourismus und Lärm.

Im Hotel selbst herrscht eine stilvolle, häusliche Atmosphäre. Wir sind dort gestrandet und wurden von den Gastgebern so liebevoll umsorgt, dass es die beste Woche unseres Urlaubs wurde. Aufgrund der ungewissen Rückreisesituation wurde die Reservierung sehr flexibel gehandhabt. Elisabeth und Max gaben uns stets das Gefühl der Sicherheit und standen uns in für uns schwierigen Momenten mit Rat zur Seite. Genauso wurden auch alle anderen Gäste umsorgt.

Dafür sind wir ihnen sehr dankbar und würden hoffentlich irgendwann wiederkommen können."
