Friendly hosts.
Pros:

Owner, Faizan, was really helpfull, and gave lots of good information about Srinagar etc.
He will paddle you around on the lake as long as you wish, 1 - 6 hours.
1000 rupii/hour. Normal price.
He and his father also make good food for you while onboard the well- maintained houseboat.

The host prepares very tasty breakfasts, and upon request, he can also make an incredible dinner tailored to European tastes and preferences. I truly enjoyed the meals and appreciated the care and attention given to my preferences. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care.

The houseboat is located in a very quiet and beautiful corner of the lake. One of the most memorable experiences was sitting with a fishing rod and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere while fishing directly from the houseboat. These were truly wonderful moments.

The manager was very friendly and generous — he even let me use a boat for a ride on the lake, which made my stay even more special. I felt very welcome and well taken care of during my visit.

I am already planning to come back again, and I would be happy to stay here once more.

Faizan is an amazing host. He took me through some hidden routes through the laske, which were calm and quiet. And his food, he is a great chef I guess. I bet, you will enjoy every penny you spent!

Lage und Atmosphäre ist perfekt 👍. Es ist eine kleine Oase mit vielen Vögeln. Preis-Leistung ist akzeptabel.

Cons:

Hat nichts mit der Unterkunft zu tun. Der See ist sehr verdreckt, scheint aber keinen zu interessieren. Die Leute schmeißen immer noch Plastik und Abfall ins Wasser. Srinagar sonst ist eher eine normale indische Stadt, nichts besonderes. Es gibt sehr viele Stromausfälle.

My stay at Green View Houseboat was very comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were clean, peaceful, and well maintained.

The highlight of my trip was the amazing Shikara ride on Dal Lake with Faizan. It was truly a unique experience. We went deep inside the lake, away from the crowded tourist areas, and explored beautiful green surroundings, quiet waterways, and abundant birdlife. The peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty made it feel like a completely different world.

It was an unforgettable experience and one of the best memories of my visit to Kashmir. I highly recommend Green View Houseboat and their Shikara rides to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay on Dal Lake.
