Das Astra ist ein einer lebendigen Altstadt-Gegend gelegen und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Das Gebäude ist klein und gemütlich. Enes, einer der Angestellten hat uns gute Empfehlungen für Sehenswürdigkeiten gegeben und war immer zu Stelle. Überhaupt sind alle vom Personal herzlich und zuvorkommend.

The staff were incredibly kind and hospitable, making us feel right at home. The view from the breakfast area's balcony was stunning. The location is ideal for anyone wanting to be close to Istanbul's most popular attractions.
Очень уютный отель. Вид с крыши на город шикарный. Там же и дают завтрак. Просто великолепный вид и вкусный завтрак. Женщина, что подаёт завтраки милая и добрая, знает немного русский язык. Сам номер очень красивый. Деревянный потолок с рисунком и цветными лампами. Окна деревянные с верхним открывание на металлические зацепки(мне лично понравились и я первый раз такое видела). Вид из окна номера на Босфор. Есть кондиционер. Уютно и удобно. Коридоры и винтовая лестница деревянные, очень красивые. Сотрудники все очень приветливы, всегда помогут и всё объяснят.
Мебель в ванной требует обновления. При входе в ванную есть дверь странная(которую я испугалась),но как оказалось это из-за перепланировки оставшиеся проем,который снаружи закрыт зеркалом в коридоре. Поэтому это так чтобы знали и не пугались. Место расположение немного не оживленное. Хотя в 5 мин от отеля Египетский базар.
Отличная локация
Прекрасное расположение, удобно добираться повсюду. Отель в старом доме, колоритно. Удобная постель, хорошие завтраки, внимательный персонал.
Душ оставляет желать лучшего, но, видимо, в старых домах по-другому нельзя.

It was a wonderful (short ) vacation.
the staff is very sociable and polite, ready to help you at any time. The lady there baked us pies and pastries. The view from the terrace was wonderful.

Nice rooftop view and pretty good location
Broken shelf and shower, silicone in the bathroom stained with mould. Very loud as there was a big gap under the door and no sound proofing so you could hear other guests the entire time as well as people hanging out on the street. Uncomfortable bed and no top sheet provided.
The accommodation is in an excellent location, with both tram and metro connections just a few minutes’ walk away. Many important and famous landmarks are also located only a few minutes from the hotel.
Although the hotel itself is small, it is cozy, clean, and provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, and on the day of our early check-out, they even prepared a takeaway breakfast for us to enjoy on our journey.
We stayed here for a week and truly enjoyed our stay. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

The hotel was easy to find within walking distance of the Halic Metro Station and is located on the edge of the tourist district which was nice as it wasn't as crowded with people. It is a great central location to walk any direction to attractions. The staff were excellent through our stay and were helpful on advice throughout the city. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace so we could watch the city and it was the tradtitional turkish breakfast which is large portions and was excellent! We stayed at this hotel 2 different times during our trip to turkey (at the start and end of our trip) and the rooms were cozy, comfy and historical decorated with the turkish lanterns and bathrooms are completely re-done. Overall this was an excellent hotel and highly recommend staying here!
The only downside is that it is an old building so it is not very sound proof. Be prepared to hear the seagulls, pigeons, cats, traffic, metro and daily prayers. If you are used to city noises then it is fine, but if you are not it would be best to take ear plugs for a good nights sleep.
