Fantastic place, always kind, good workout - great value
Pros:

Love the natures in and around Nunu.
The extra offerings like the Saturday night fire.
The beds are comfy, dorm doesn’t feel like a dorm, but more cosy and somehow connected.

I LOVE the kettlebells and outdoor fitness station one of the main reasons I keep coming back.

Breakfast was great! Thanks for the addition 🙏🏻

Cons:

It’s a bit farther from canggu, perfect as a more white base to quiet to work, exercise, BE, …. 🪴

A bit sad that the ice bath wasn’t there on my stay this time - 2026/2

Suggest earplugs and eye mask if you are a light sleeper - nature sounds around are of course heard.

Pros:

The property is pretty and quiet, includes a yoga shalla, beautiful pool and comfy bed. Drinking water available and a restaurant on-site even though the quality of the food/offering could be improved.

Cons:

During my stay (between Xmas and NY), the room was not cleaned, and the bathroom became uncomfortable over time, with toilet paper accumulating and unpleasant odors. Guests were assigned to upper beds even though the neighboring room was empty, reportedly due to operational reasons, which felt avoidable.

Staff were often gathered together while rooms remained uncleaned, which gave the impression that housekeeping and guest comfort were not always prioritized.

The kitchen area included a kettle, fridge, and basic cutlery and plates, but it was rarely cleaned and therefore difficult to use comfortably.

The location is very remote, which naturally limits dining options. While this creates an opportunity for on-site food service, the offerings were limited and relatively expensive for the quality, with additional taxes applied.

Wunderbarer Ort zum Erholen !
Pros:

Ich habe meine einzelne Hütte geliebt ganz ganz tolles Fleckchen Erde außerhalb von Canggu. Das bequemste Bett seit langem, freundliches Personal ! Tolle Aktivitäten - wunderbares Yoga ! Angenehme Menschen die dort waren ! Tolles Restaurant dazu !!

Cons:

Die Toiletten Spülung hat leider nicht wirklich funktioniert.
Die Tür war sehr sehr laut beim schließen.

Nunu Bali Riverside is a jungle paradise, nurturing cravings for peace, nature and stunning views
Pros:

Nunu Bali Resort at the riverside is one of a kind. The island of Bali already itself has a special charm with its kind local people, but the Nunu Riverside offered me everything I needed for a ten-day healing break.
I felt welcome and comfortable from the very first moment, the resort's surroundings are breathtaking and the restaurant offers nutritious, fresh and delicious food. The riverside section with the villas just opened in autumn 2025, but you are well catered for with the facilities in the villas and the retreats on offer, such as yoga or massages, as well as the daily programme options, where you can explore the surrounding area with its wonderful culture and mentality or get in touch with the local community.
Staying at the Nunu Riverside, you can experience the jungle vibes with all your senses gazing through your wide glass windows. Sometimes you can spot monkeys or other jungle creatures darting past between the palm trees or just a few metres in front of you. And heading a few steps downhill you can jump into the clean hotel pool anytime you wish.

As I had been injured in an accident, I received comprehensive support from the staff and had my meals served directly to my villa. Thanks to my caring and patient driver Alex, who had been supporting me every day since my accident, I felt as he would be my personal driver for the rest of my stay.
Special thanks to resort manager Rai for this extraordinary holiday experience overall and the wonderful hospitality, as well as for my lovely birthday surprise. I have travelled all over the world, but this place is one of my absolute favourites and has taken a place in my heart.

Cons:

To get around the area, you need a car, rental car or scooter. The latter are available for hire everywhere, but I would only recommend them if you are an experienced driver. The Balinese drive differently and have scooter riding in their blood from childhood.

Beautiful quiet place with a rural feel.
Pros:

Very nice green rural feel with fruit trees, rooster sounds, a nice pool, beautiful entrance way. The restaurant was very nice, but a bit pricey. The traditional cabin was very nice with a nice semi-outdoor bathroom. Great place for a relaxing holiday and base for excursions to nearby sights.

Cons:

You need transport to get anywhere, as there are no places of interest to a tourist nearby. Close enough to many beautiful places though with transport.
