Overall the Masons Arms was very nice.
Some poor quality breakfast on the second day.
Seemed to run out of certain items of food at dinner.
General presentation was good but needs some improvement.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, great food
The whole setting was sublime. Our only regret is not staying longer. The ambiance, the food was excellent. The room was stunning and well thought out. All together rather beautiful.

The setting, the gorgeous pub and food, the character of the accommodation.
We've been here 4 times and it's beginning to need a redecorate and clean up, especially the walls. Won't stop us coming back but it would be lovely to walk into the bedroom and not see lots of scuffs and marks on the walls.
Great rooms, great food, great service. Just com and stay here.
Cosy and comfortable
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mason Arms.....exactly what we thought it should be in such a small, charming village. The staff were extremely friendly, and breakfast had a wide variety of choices including granola, fruit and yogurt for people who don't want to eat a big breakfast! They just debuted a new menu while we were there so several items on the menu for dinner that was delicious. The rooms were well equipped with everything to make our stay more comfortable including hot chocolate and yummy snacks. It is a lovely 10 minute walk to the beach along a grass path. I recommend checking out the rocky beach during your visit. A big thank you to the staff for such a wonderful visit.
A wonderful location, full of character the room spacious & very comfortable.
The room was gorgeously decorated, the pub is lovely with great food and nice beers and wines, sourced locally. Branscombe is really pretty and the other pub that seems to be owned by the same people is also well worth a visit.
We booked a family room, which according to the description should be in th Inn. Yet, our room was directly at the car park. Not really nice to have your terrace with a car 5 cms away from you. Being woken up by a garbage truck in front of the room at 6:30 was also not really what I had expected from a countryside getaway. The staff responded friendly but didnt seem to care. So that was quite disappointing. I would stay there again happily, but only if I could have one of the upper rooms or a room inside.

As we are in our eighties, we were surprised our room was up lots of stairs to the highest level. A long way with our suitcases and no help from any staff.
