Staff very friendly and so helpful from the moment we arrived to leaving
Rooms exceptionally clean and very stylishly furnished
There was nothing to dislike although if you have access issues it is a little tricky due to the steep carpal
The location and the building was amazing and the staff were lovely. Couldn't fault the place at all. Very attentive at all time. I will be coming back
The room was nice and modern and comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely- we will be back
The road noise was quite loud during the night. They have added additional glazing and provide ear plugs but would recommend bringing your own ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Can’t really be helped due to the age and location of the pub but just something to be aware of.
Shower very good. Could always find a parking space
Breakfast was not that great. A fair amount of choice but not particularly well done. Sausages appeared to be standard commercial fare - dry & tasteless - certainly a disappointment.
Rooms very small & so dark. Even with all the lights on (bare bulbs) it was never bright.
Parking was a real issue for me - always having to feed coins in a machine. Yes it could be done on an app but older generation not always up with new technology. Why not include parking within your room rates - end of story.

Parking is very tricky as market place car park gets full during the day - just be warned!
Full English cooked breakfast wasn't good ( cheap poor quality ingredients- partner , who works in catering had it one morning, my avo and poached eggs were fine) also coffee not great
Bed not made, bins not emptied ( which was more critical as we'd had a picnic supper the first night!) lighting not good in bedroom for reading, make up etc-. A light by the mirror would have helped! ( bathroom mirror steamed up so you couldn't see into it after a shower!)

I'm so glad we found this delightful place. It's a beautiful building full of charm and character. The staff are all absolutely fantastic and the manager Jacob couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The bed was so comfy we didn't want to get up for breakfast but it was definitely worth it. The full English was delicious and the evening menu definitely didn't disappoint either. The food and service was exceptional. The whole place is spotless and the beer garden is nicely set out to relax in the sun or shelter from the rain in comfort. There were ear plugs in the room in case passing traffic was noisy but we didn't hear anything to disturb us. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again and would highly recommend it.
