The food is dull and tasteless. Eat somewhere else.
Breakfast was good for the money. Hot and plentiful.
It was pleasant enough for the hotel price.
Hier lebt man wie ein Schlossbesitzer - sehr schönes Anwesen! Freundliches Personal und immer bemüht. Danke.
Auch für Feste ein passendes Schloss !
Wir fanden unsere Ecksuite riesig.
Es könnte ein bisschen renoviert werden.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room, tasty food, excellent provision for gluten free diners. Good location, close proximity to cafes, shops and woodland trails. Great value for money.
Wished I could have stayed for longer!
Pleasant, helpful and attentive staff. Grand interiors, especially the dining room - more could be made of these features. Traditional decor. Nice gardens.
Some areas of the hotel are worn and dated.
Food was very disappointing.
I like the warm welcome when i stay. I use the hotel alot
The sound proofing isn't great but I always have earplugs as I am a light sleeper and thats not the hotels fault
The hotel is set in a beautiful location and is a stunning building. Check-in was straightforward and our room was perfectly clean and comfortable. The always-essential Bar had a good range of beers on tap at reasonable prices. The food was tasty but a little bit unspectacular. During our research into this hotel, it was noted that it had a focus on attracting large coach parties and we put the food menu and quick pace at which it was served down to it serving this part of the market. This is not a criticism, merely an observation.
Nothing in particular although the carpets on the 1st floor corridors were probably best described as rather threadbare. The place could do with a bit of investment on the internal side of things.
Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Although restricted choice for evening meal clearly the work of a good chef.
Although the hotel has been given a lot of recent care, for example our room was excellent and more generally new carpeting throughout the hotel the lounge is no doubt the next area that would need a little upgrading.
Was convenient & in our budget for the NC500. Staff were lovely and very accommodating in booking us in for dinner & breakfast.
Very small room, couldn't open the door fully as it hit the bed. As with most old buildings, sound proofing was not the best and squeaky floorboards. Water pressure for the shower was not very good. Room in need of updating.
outside it looks good i was given teh smallest room
outside it looks good i was given teh smallest room , no much facilities
Great old hotel in a fantastic location. Room was big and comfortable. Staff all friendly.
Food was a bit hit and miss at dinner & breakfast.
