great room for my disabled wife thank you very much
Location
Nice view from the room
Breakfast. Everything on the buffet was cold I had to tell the staff on both mornings.
Location was ideal.
Rooms very dated. We upgraded just to get decent room layout and a reasonable view.
Great location in town, close to everything.
Nicci the receptionist is a superstar and happily met our additional requests. Warm friendly and efficient she made us feel really welcome.
Food in the restaurant was tasty and staff again so friendly and welcoming.
The surroundings
Confused man in the reception when we arrived. Room 126 terrible. Small bed for two. Absolutly new view. Its sad that they rent out that room. Made my stay negative.
The staff were lovely: friendly, welcoming and efficient, and the setting is beautiful. It is great that there are single rooms, as so often a single person has to pay for a double room. My bed was very comfortable and garden view was very pretty. My dinner (venison stew) was very tasty, and although "Negroni" wasn't on the bar menu, the barman made a very good one up for me! Breakfast was plentiful.
While my evening bath was beautifully hot, my friend's morning one wasn't hot, and she said her room was a little chilly in the morning too. At dinner, we both enjoyed our starters, but she said her fish (haddock I think) was somewhat disappointing, as a bit dry. It would have been lovely (as it was snowing in April!) if the fire had been lit and roaring up the chimney!
First time visiting and I'll happily stay there again. 3 course dinner was excellent. The staff were great, the room was comfortable, clean and nicely presented.
The building and surroundings are really nice. But it looks like it was a good hotel that lacked maintenance and now its quite old and not well maintained.

Location is perfect for exploring the Highlands
Problem with the bill, but was sorted by the staff at reception on check out
Lovely location
Hotel is outdated and needs a renovation
Fin pris og i fine omgivelser. Veldig trivelig personale. Rent og gode senger.
Slitte møbler i baren, fuktskade i taket på rommet, slitt badekar og dårlig ventilasjon pårommet.
nothing to say
We were not impressed with any aspect of the visit.
We had received an email earlier in the day suggesting we book for dinner as they get busy. We did that on arrival as requested. However when we went down for dinner we found we were to eat in bar area as restaurant was closed. The menu was limited as were choice of tables.
At breakfast the first morning we went down at 8:30, nothing was out on buffet. We couldn't sit where we wanted as they were busy laying for a funeral tea. The cook did bring all out but the whole attitude was very dissapointing.
Location
The room
The location and the area around the hotel also the parking were all good also nice view.. We could find some restaurants around the hotel for dinner.
Garden was clean and beautiful.
1_ food (both breakfast and dinner) were not good and fresh. Breakfast was just English breakfast and no more interesting alternatives. Also we had dinner first night and it was tasteless and also I felt that some of the ingredients were not fresh at all specially potatoes.
2_ we had problem with the heater and we needed to remind them two times to finally get fixed in second night. Also bed and pillows were the most uncomfortable ones we ever had.
3_I expected to see better and warmer welcoming reception which was not at all. Just the bar and restaurant stuff were quite friendly.
4_We expected to see cleaner and more cozy hotel, however it was not.
