Homely Mountain Stay with Beautiful Views

Chalet del Sole has a very warm and homely atmosphere. Staying here feels a bit like visiting a friend’s house in the mountains. The apartment is located in a quiet mountain area with lovely views of the surrounding landscape.

We arrived quite late at around 8:30 pm, and the host was very kind to personally wait to welcome us & our doggie, which we really appreciated.

The apartment itself is quite spacious, as shown in the photos, and it has everything needed for a basic stay — kitchen, bathroom, and comfortable bedding. The blankets were especially cozy, which made the stay comfortable after a long day of travel.

Do note that the property sits higher up in the mountains, so reaching it involves winding zigzag roads. Arriving late at night can feel a little challenging due to the narrow mountain roads. The house itself is older and traditional in style, so the interior is more old-fashioned rather than modern.

Because it is an older building, you can hear footsteps or conversations from the floor above, so light sleepers may want to keep this in mind. The ceiling is also slightly low in some areas, although it didn’t bother us.

One small suggestion would be regarding the check-out flexibility. Since we arrived quite late in the evening, we would have appreciated a little more flexibility, perhaps allowing at least one extra hour before checkout. Currently, staying past 10 am is charged at €10 per hour, and being reminded to check out right at 10 am felt a bit rushed after a late arrival.

There are also not many shops nearby, so it’s best to purchase groceries before arriving.

Overall, it is a simple and spacious mountain apartment with a kind host and a peaceful setting, suitable for those who enjoy a quiet stay surrounded by nature.

Très bonne nuit reposante dans un endroit au panorama magnifique

L’impression d’arriver dans son propre chalet, comme à la maison! Le poêle à granulés fait des merveilles, très cosy.

Characteristic and comfortable!
Pros:

On our way to the Netherlands, we stopped at this beautiful alpine chalet. The hosts are extremely kind and welcoming, and the apartment is very comfortable and well-equipped. Surrounded by nature, yet easy to reach, just minutes from the highway exit. We'll be back! :)
