The house was a fascinating hi tech house.
The hosts were very chatty when we arrived and we had a good conversation.
We were given a comprehensive list of places to visit but they were unaware of decent local restaurants 10' away, which we found ourselves.
Our host organised takeaway food the evening we arrived.
This did not feel like an authentic homestay.
Where we have had genuine homestays in India in the past we have met hosts who go out of their way to make us feel welcome and provide refreshment including breakfasts. At the beach house We had to request a drink of water on arrival and a cup of tea before leaving on an excursion, as it was too early for breakfast which was only available at 10 AM - which is somewhat late in any culture.
Our room was advertised as being with a "pool view." We saw no pool nor was it mentioned.
We were not encouraged to visit the beach and wonder why this place is billed as a "beach house." The description is thus inaccurate and misleading.
On departure - admittedly quite early, we let ourselves out without meeting our hosts again.
We felt the list of rules that were posted after our booking was exhaustive and over the top. Maybe this was due to previous unruly or careless guests but it smacks of lack of trust.
Finally, the cleaning fee of 500Rs/room is clearly excessive for a short 2 night stay.
Lovely house with really good bedrooms
The property wasn’t easy to access. The beach was close by but the hosts didn’t show us where to go.
The house had quite a few security cameras which seemed a little over the top. Each bedroom had locks and a complex lighting and fan display which were both difficult to work out. On arrival we sat with the hosts for sometime with no offer of a drink, in the end we had to ask for a tea.
Accepting we were only there for 2 nights, we didn’t see the hosts again after our meeting on arrival. We left around 530am but no one got up to see us off.
I had such a wonderful stay at Rohit and Vanita’s beach house. They are truly kind and thoughtful hosts who made me feel very welcome. Towards the end of my stay, I fell sick, and they immediately helped me get medicine and lovingly shared their homemade food with me. At a moment when I felt really vulnerable, their care and support meant so much, and I am deeply grateful.
The house is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, comfortable atmosphere. And the beach is only a 2 minute walk. Their helpers are also such sweet and friendly ladies—we shared many laughs together, which made my stay even more memorable.
I genuinely appreciate the kindness and hospitality I received, and I highly recommend Rohit and Vanita’s beach house to anyone visiting Chennai.
This homestay provides really a home for their guests because they are treating them like family members. It was so fun and enriching, chatting and laughing with Rohit and his wife and their friends plus the other guest, sitting together in the evenings and having snacks and drinks. They also provided very nice lunch to me. The room was very spacious, comfortable and beautiful. The location is also very nice, 5 minutes walking close to the beach, close to some nice temples, close to shops, supermarkets and eateries. There is also a nice beach food street nearby in 10 Minutes to walk. I can highly recommend to choose this homestay.
Very friendly host.A couple.Well done up house.Lots of rules and regulations shared early maybe because of deviant guest in the past.Served me homely food upon request.I was not well when I came in and so felt comfortable in the place as it was close to my place of assignment.The venue is fantastic...super close (Across the road)to a beach.
The AC in my room above my head was leaking and so I had water dripping on my head till the shirt was wet.It was fixed by the next evening.

Both owner's are good people, very accommodating.
I felt very welcomed by the hosts throughout my stay, they are very friendly, helpful and will make sure that you are feeling good. The house is well equipped by the most modern safety equipments.

Calmness around the property is amazing and pleasant.
I really liked the company and the spacious loving rooms. It is also located in a nice and calm area with access to a beautiful beach and shopping facilities nearby.
The bathroom could use some love. You’ll share the hosts private kitchen and living spaces so cooking situation is not ideal for preparing meals. Also, you need to be comfortable in private spaces. Payment is cash only.
