In the middle of san jose is a cute hostel with very friendly staff.

Ein sehr schönes Hostel in ruhiger und dennoch guter Lage. Die große Gemeinschaftsküche ist super, auch wenn sie leider etwas früh schließt und erst relativ spät wieder öffnet. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich, die Atmosphäre entspannt und man lernt schnell nette Menschen kennen. Insgesamt habe ich mich sehr wohlgefühlt und kann das Hostel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
Great place. Staff was perfect and they really helped us with doing a lot of laundry for us in 2 hours. Really appreciate it.

La nostra stanza con bagno privato non era ben pulita ed inoltre c'era uno sgradevole odore di fogna proveniente dal bagno della stanza.

Great location close to the city center. Has many facilities like toilets and even an internal restaurant with pizza and burgers and they serve alcohol as well if that's your thing.
Here you definitively escape the traditional costa rican "pura vida", the hostal has many rules like kitchen hours like I learned trying to drink a tea after my late arrival at the hostal. also the prices in the restaurant are gringo prices and the community kitchen is not that great.
