Viel Potenzial, aber dringend renovierungsbedürftig
Pros:

Wir verbrachten hier die letzte Nacht unserer dreiwöchigen Rundreise durch Portugal auf dem Weg von der Algarve zum Flughafen Porto. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die wirklich grandiose Lage des Hotels. Von unserem Zimmer und dem großen Balkon hatten wir einen wunderbaren, weiten Ausblick auf die Landschaft und den Stausee. Die Umgebung ist ausgesprochen ruhig und eignet sich sehr gut zum Entspannen.
Auch die Größe und Aufteilung unserer Suite haben uns gefallen. Positiv waren außerdem das sehr gute WLAN sowie die hervorragend und angenehm leise arbeitende Klimaanlage. Für eine Übernachtung auf der Durchreise ist das Hotel daher grundsätzlich gut geeignet.

Cons:

Aufgrund der ansprechenden Beschreibung und der schönen Fotos bei Booking.com hatten wir dieses Vier-Sterne-Hotel bewusst für die letzte Nacht unserer dreiwöchigen Portugal-Rundreise gewählt und auf einen besonderen Abschluss gehofft. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht.

Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig, Mobiliar und Interieur wirken abgenutzt. Besonders im Bad: Whirlpool ohne Funktion, Flugrost an Metallteilen und ein stark vergilbter Haartrockner. Auch die Sauberkeit überzeugte bei genauerem Hinsehen nicht: Schimmelspuren hinter dem Kosmetikspiegel, eine längst austauschbedürftig wirkende Toilettenbürste und Produkte der Minibar mit überschrittenem Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum, die Schokolade beispielsweise seit drei Monaten. Für vier Sterne nicht angemessen.

Auch die Gastronomie blieb hinter unseren Erwartungen: Das Frühstück war einfach und überschaubar, der Fisch beim Abendessen so stark frittiert, dass er für uns nicht genießbar war. Den Spa-Bereich haben wir nicht genutzt. Auf den Außenpool verzichteten wir wegen des sehr trüben, auf uns nicht hygienisch wirkenden Wassers. Auch die Außenanlagen wirkten ungepflegt.

Unverständlich war zudem der Check-in: Am Vortag hatten wir auf Aufforderung einen ausführlichen Online-Check-in einschließlich Ausweisdaten durchgeführt. Vor Ort wurden diese Angaben erneut verlangt, sogar die E-Mail-Adresse, an die zuvor die Aufforderung geschickt worden war. Dieser Ablauf sollte überprüft werden.

Unser größter Kritikpunkt bleibt die deutliche Diskrepanz zwischen den attraktiven Buchungsfotos und dem tatsächlichen Zustand.

Fazit: Die außergewöhnlich schöne und ruhige Lage ist die große Stärke des Hauses. Gemessen am Vier-Sterne-Anspruch, der Präsentation bei Booking.com und dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis waren wir jedoch enttäuscht. Renovierung, sorgfältigere Pflege, bessere Organisation und eine Aufwertung der Gastronomie würden diesem wunderbar gelegenen Hotel guttun.

No geral foi uma estadia muito agradável, calma e sem problemas.
Pros:

A vista, a paz do local, a piscina muito simpática, o pequeno-almoço e os jantares muito bons.

Cons:

Os quartos precisam de um refrescamento na decoração. Algumas peças de mobiliário estão um pouco desgastadas. O sistema de ligação das fichas é confuso e pensávamos que os candeeiros não funcionavam. A casa de banho precisa de uma luz por cima do lavatório para as senhoras fazerem a sua make-up e os homens fazerem a barba.

Incrível! Iremos voltar.

Área envolvente e a beleza do hotel. Acordar praticamente em cima do rio é incrível. O pequeno almoço foi ótimo e os funcionários eram todos super atenciosos e simpáticos.

Cons:

Estando perto do rio, é expectável que haja insetos e bichinhos mas tivemos alguns dentro do quarto e com o calor que estava, não havendo redes mosquiteiras nas janelas/porta era difícil abrir alguma sem que entrasse algum mosquito ou bichinho.
