Pros:

The garden around the hotel and the view are amazing. The stuff was really friendly and helpful. The room was spaceious and comfortable. I enjoyed the stay a lot😊

Tropical garden juste à côté et place de parking gratuite
Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre nuitée . Petit mention pour la jeune fille de l’accueil qui a été adorable et vraiment professionnelle.

Najlepsza lokalizacja w mieście. Pośród pięknych ogrodów, w sąsiedztwie zabytkowego kościoła. Wspaniałe widoki i miejsca do spacerowania. Obok wejście do Ogrodu Tropikalnego. Dwie stacje kolejki liniowej. Jedna do Ogrodu Botanicznego druga do centrum miasta. Przy wejściu na posesję start atrakcji w postaci słynnych zjeżdżających koszy. Przystanek autobusowy do miasta. Sam hotel jest zadbany, z restauracją i basenem do korzystania. Profesjonalna, miła obsługa, doskonałe śniadania. Wygodne pokoje z intymnymi balkonami, lodówką, wygodną łazienką. Codzienne porządki. Okolica cicha i spokojna. Bardzo dobrze się tutaj czuliśmy i spędziliśmy 30 rocznicę ślubu. Polecam.

Lovely location, shame the beds existed only in the booking photos.
Cons:

Upon arrival at the hotel, we discovered that our room had a baby cot instead of the beds clearly shown in both the booking description and the photos.

Unfortunately, the staff were unable to offer any solution.

For a one-night stay, it was manageable, but I certainly wouldn’t repeat the experience, even though the location itself is quite lovely.

If you’re travelling with children, I would strongly recommend choosing another hotel. From other reviews I’ve since read, it seems that our experience was not an isolated incident.

Super hôtel
Pros:

Très bel hôtel, idéalement situé, avec un cadre magnifique ! Le jardin est superbe et offre une très belle vue sur Funchal et la mer. 🌿🌊

Le personnel est très accueillant, les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, et l’emplacement est idéal. Le jardin tropical se trouve à seulement 5 minutes à pied et un téléphérique permet également de rejoindre facilement Funchal.

Un parking privé pour l’hôtel est à disposition.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour ! Je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! 😊

Prima ligging t.o.v. attracties en mooi uitzicht, goed verzorgd ontbijt.

Could be amazing but too many little things need sorting out - this is not 4 stars

Property very close to the botanic garden which is excellent .
Pool is pleasant
Fridge in room is large and very quiet

Cons:

Early evening reception staff not very pleasant , seemed to always be disturbed by any wuestions( including wanting to check out ) and not passing on to day staff issues with the room .
Staff not cleaning room properly ( toilet bin not emptied, water bottle not replaced , used glass not changed )
Inability to reach 2nd floor directly even by stairs ( they exist but are reserved to staff ) need to go up to 3 by lift walk all around the building to go down by stairs then back all around the building to find room
Restaurant menu is set 3 courses with soup main and desert - no choices - who wants a soup in that weather ?
No conditioner in toiletries
