Like the Curates Egg- good in parts!

Excellent room, but then as a 'gold' room it had to be. Shame about the mistakes at Reception when we checked in- we ended up (I believe) with an inferior room to that which we had originally been given!

Cons:

Reception staff seemed disorganised.
Two examples: when we checked in the room wasn't ready, but we completed all the paperwork, and where given a room number ( and it was on the tag attached to our luggage), we went shopping after having lunch ( during which we posted the bill to the room number given), when we returned with shopping we went to the room- which had a chambermaid in it- and left our purchases. Imagine our shock when returning to reception to find that 'our' room had been given to someone else! No apology, no explanation. We tried later to suggest that their might be some charges on the original room, and we didn't want the occupants to pay- nobody was really that interested - and as to date we haven't had a copy of our account ( but of course we paid!) I have no idea if this was resolved.
Further, on check out day, I asked Reception to book me a taxi- this was duly written down( for 5 hours hence)- but sadly when the taxi was supposed toi appear, we where informed it had never been booked!
Shame about Reception staff, as everyone else was brilliant.

Overall was ok only for a long weekend have stayed here a few times now but over the years especially this time the hote

Rooms were tired carpet worn and lumpy leaky shower and cracked sink and a musky smell also the club on Saturday was so loud to 2am was vibrating through my pillow !! Even the rooms on 3rd had the same issue we were on 2nd

Cons:

Ausrüstung des Hauses sehr einfach, vieles müsste renoviert werden. Komfort in den Zimmern bestenfalls mittelmässig aber Betten gut
Hauptrestaurant eher eine landbeiz, keine Lounge für Hotelgäste bei schlechtem Wetter
