Average for the price we paid.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, but they did run out of muesli on day 3. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

VAT came as a surprise on the evening meal. Room bin was not emptied the 4 days we were there. Despite leaving the key at reception and asking for room to be cleaned ....it was not. Day 4 we asked for clean towels, which we did get but they left the dirty ones!!! Bathroom extractor fan ran 24/7 despite reporting many times and being told it would be looked at it was not.

Good location and staff; could do with a bit of a refresh

Location, room quiet in annex separated from main hotel, free late checkout on request, good breakfast included

Cons:

We were given a disabled room which we hadn’t booked or asked for; the shower wasn’t great; bathroom window had no blind or curtain and people in rear car park could see in; bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable - all it needs is a decent mattress topper and it would be fine.

Lovely old building, good location, comfortable, and a great breakfast
Pros:

Quiet and convenient location, comfortable room, and a fantastic breakfast. Lovely old building.
The fire alarm definitely works too, after someone managed to set it off in their room at 05:30

Cons:

It's a little bit 'tired' decor-wise, but it's all perfectly functional and clean so this is a minor thing

Blue Bell Hotel.
Pros:

The location was ideal for visiting Holy lsland, Bamburgh castle and the surrounding area.

The large garden at the back was a bonus.

Excellent accommodation in lovely surroundings.
Pros:

Lovely room, big and comfortable. On arrival at reception staff really friendly and helpful. The evening meal was excellent.

Cons:

Everywhere looks a tad tired. Could do with a freshen up.
Got the impression they don’t have enough staff.

Cons:

Wij kwamen met een groep van 7 man. Hadden 3 kamers geboekt met ieder 3 bedden. Bij aankomst bleek dat het hotel een fout had gemaakt en dat er 1kamer met 3 bedden was en de rest van 2 persoons bedden. En dat we bij elkaar in bed moesten gaan slapen. En als we hier niet mee akkoord zouden gaan we beter opzoek konden gaan naar een ander Hotel. We zijn een groep vrienden die met de motor kwamen. Na de nodige kilometers en weinig opties in de buurt was dit voor ons geen optie. Na veel klagen konden er toch kamers geregeld worden helaas moesten sommige van ons nog in een 2 persoons bed slapen. Al met al verouderd hotel , onvriendelijk personeel. We zouden een refund krijgen voor de verkeerde kamers maar top op heden niks ontvangen.
