Breakfast was adequate
Hotel was advertised as being open for dinner with good menu. Arrived to find that the kitchen was close for holidays. Checked other food facilities in the village - all were closed for the same period (as if by general agreement). I was put in accommodation away from the main hotel which was in need of refurbishment. Bed very uncomfortable.

Das Hotel hat sehr viel Charme und die Lage ist . Ausreichend Parkplätze vorm Hotel vorhanden. Mein Zimmer war sehr groß und gemütlich mit schönen Ausblick! Alles was man benötigt, ist vorhanden. Das bad war ebenso sehr geräumig, allerdings schon ein bisschen in die jahre gekommen. Frühstück war gut und ausreichend und der Service beim Frühstück nett und bemüht!
Was mir nicht so gefallen hat, war die unflexible, gleichgültige Art am Abend was spontanes Essen angeht. Da in dem Ort nicht viel zu finden ist punkto Gastro, hätte ich gern eine "Kleinigkeit" im hotel gegessen, auch im Pub statt Restaurant, das hätte keine rolle für mich gespielt und allein bleibt man sowieso nicht lang irgendwo sitzen...Das war allerdings nicht möglich bzw war es der Dame ziemlich egal. Sie hat mich auch über keine Alternativen informiert.
The breakfast was good
The rooms was not clean especially the light shades so much dirt and dust, very dated it desperately needs an update and shower was terrible and all the walls was in bad state of repair

Being woken by other residents that had locked themselves out of hotel and were banging all windows and doors at 1am after being out at a different pub . Wasted a great stay otherwise.
A lovely hotel in a fantastic location, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and good value and I can thoroughly recommend the breakfast. We will definitely be visiting again.
Our only gripe was that the shower was underpowered and although warm enough wouldn’t go any hotter. A minor issue which didn’t detract from our stay.

The room is not luxury, but that is reflected in the price. The rooms in the house block opposite the pub are cheap and cheerful. The beds are still good.

Good location in a lovely town in a lovely part of the country. Breakfast was excellent as were the attending staff.
I stayed in the annexe. Decor a bit tired and the skirting boards needed repair if not replacement. The main building looked lovely and maybe rooms in there were smarter.
The hotel is in need of some TLC as it is an old coaching inn but given the current cost of living then this is forgivable. What the decor lacked was more than made up for by the attitude of the staff that we came across while checking in, having dinner and then breakfast. Everyone was extremely polite and ant request was met with a polite and enthusiastic positive response which made for an enjoyable stay
