Breakfast was very good indeed, freshly cooked, piping hot, probably the best full English breakfast I've had. I complimented the hotel on this at the time.
Nothing, it was very good.
Good location as we were meeting up with family at nearby camp site. Family room for 3 was large with proper bed for the child. Bathroom large and well equipped with toiletries and towels
TV remote was missing its back and did not work on the tv at all. Floor was very squeaky which amused our granddaughter but don't know if the people on floor below us found it as funny, but an old building so to be expected. Breakfast was very greasy with water on the plate from the tinned mushrooms but granddaughter enjoyed her bacon roll. Parking was not easy as each time we went back we seemed to get the last space outside the hotel.
The only thing that was nice was the lovely breakfast and James who made us feel welcome was very friendly
The room , the door looked like it had been broken into , The lock wasn't great at all , we where her for a week and had to get clean towels and our bins emptied, the room was never cleaned , the beds where terrible the mattresses needed renewing , we asked about sorting them out but nothing was done , we didn't sleep much at all , the springs were in our backs , so so uncomfortable , one of them had to have two duvets so that my friend could sleep on top and used her bath towel to keep warm . The duvets where disgusting yellow marks on them very very old they needed renewing . Not once was our room cleaned or restocked . There were so many young workers we didn't know who was in charge , at night the front door was locked at 11pm and the back door , there where dogs staying at this hotel if they needed to go out late at night who was there to let them out . We felt that if there were to be a fire no one would get out because the doors were locked. If we could have gone somewhere else we would have done . But this hotel cost enough. It took ages to get hot water so had to have cold water showers every day .
Wonderful breakfast and very nice staff
Location
The hotel was a little tired
Breakfast

The staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially, we arrived at late night due to the traffics on the road, we got checkin smoothly and had a good night sleep.
value for money, good location, with 1 exception food was excellent, lovely breakfast, homely building, nice large room
1 meal was not enjoyable, staff were generally nice but not as friendly as I would have thought
Quaint old coaching inn with lots of character. Located on the main crossroads in the centre of village. We had a large room with en suite bathroom. Convenient parking adjacent to hotel. Food was generally good. Well located for Holy island.
Inexperienced staff. General lack of maintenance and cleanliness. Came away with the impression that the hotel had seen better days and was on life-support right now.
Very nice friendly staff definitely stay again
Nothing
Room was very spacious but I think it it was a family room.
Girl on reception didn’t even look up, I waited several minutes and said excuse me could I check in please.. she replied name !! Gave me room key, I asked her where it was she said outside facing front door.. I thanked her, asked a guy near bar where do I go for food, he said we stopped serving food… it was 20.25pm I just said ok thank you. I asked where I go for breakfast.. he just said in there.. after a 6.5hr it would have been nice for staff to say hello or welcome… nothing.. my room was facing the main door, and people where stood smoking outside my room, the window wouldn’t close so had to leave it open all night… 3 beds in the room all had quilts on, but only one made up, I didn’t fancy stripping a bed to make another bed up with better mattress on it.. bathroom was really dated and smelt damp and taps dripping all night, and didn’t put light on as took over a hour for fan to go off.. I don’t think I’d stay again as a solo traveler unless I had a better room.
Location was good hotel was awful
