Pros:

Our wonderful 3 night stay at La Belle Maison made our holiday in Hanoi perfect! Located right on the lake in the Old Quarter, walkable distance from many of the sights and wonderful restaurants, cafes. The room, breakfast, exemplary service from all staff especially Thor and Louis, was above and beyond. It really is a super, small boutique hotel, quirkily set above a little shop in a beautiful historic building. We enjoyed the small stair climb to breakfast a couple of floors up to a fantastic view, there is no lift. We just loved it!

It probably isn’t suitable for those with mobility issues

Pros:

Superbe emplacement, charme des lieux quand la plupart des hôtels d’Hanoï se ressemblent, c’est très agréable de séjourner dans un cadre de caractère.
J’insiste particulièrement sur l’extrême amabilité de l’accueil à la réception, celle de Thor en particulier, absolument adorable.
Très belle chambre, petit déjeuner complet avec jolie vue sur le lac!!!

A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Hanoi with the friendliest staff you’ll ever meet.
Pros:

Beautiful and very well maintained building at the northern end of Sword Lake, a perfect base to explore Hanoi. Thor and the staff were exceptional, very knowledgeable and willing to help at all times. Plus, the Circle K downstairs was a great bonus, very easy to get any supplies, snacks etc!

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at a lovely hotel with the kindest staff
Pros:

This hotel was fantastic! The staff are all so kind, especially Thor. As a solo traveller, Thor went above and beyond to make my stay so lovely, from sorting transport for me, despite a very delayed flight, nothing was too much trouble.
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Hoan Kiem Lake and both the Old and French Quarters.

Great experience to stay here and highly recommended
Pros:

It’s beautiful with decoration and a lovely balcony, located in the center of Hà Nội. Excellent customer service and nice restaurant. The coffee in the restaurant is perfect. We had a great time to stay here. Our room was in the level 3 with lake view. It’s not too noisy but the hotel also prepared air plugs for us just in case.

Pros:

Winziges, verstecktes Hotel an Top-Lage mit aussergewöhnlichem Concierge.
Herr Thor war überaus nett und hilfsbereit, und hat uns bei den Tourbuchungen für Halong und mehr sehr geholfen!
Die Aussicht vom kleinen Restaurant auf den Hoan Kiem-See ist top.

Cons:

Der Eingang führt über einen Mini Supermarkt. Es hat daher auch keine grosse Lobby.
Am See waren viele Veranstaltungen, daher war es sehr verstopft.

The setup is fantastic. The staff are very hospitable, extremely helpful and constantly making sure that you are comfortable during your stay (special shout to Thor and Louis here, genuinely dedicated to the hotel and its guests). Room 402 is a gem with the view, bath tub, high ceilings,….

Cons:

Hard to pick anything wrong but if there was one thing it would be to re-do the bathroom (new grout maybe).
