Mooiste uitzicht, loopafstand van het centrum van Ella, fijn appartement

Great location. Fantastic views from the roof terrace where we ate breakfast and star gazed at night. Teesha and Pietr are engaging hosts, a font of local knowledge, and good company, as is their dog Goldie. Also a mention for Waruna who looked after us very well.

Star Gaze Lodge is all about the view, which is simply stunning - Ella Rock & even sunrise over Little Adam’s Peak😊, it was lovely sitting on the dual aspect terrace enjoying the view & hearing just the sounds of birds.
The host (Teesha) is very welcoming and gave us some great recommendations, including dinner at Clay Pot (fantastic food & ambience), Varuna, always with a big smile on his face made us very substantial & delicious breakfasts.
A very good iron & board is provided & plenty of storage space.
There is a fridge & kettle available in the room & we liked having a sofa to sit on to watch TV or read.
Really nice touch to give fridge magnet & postcards on departure, thank you.
It is in need of some improvements, which would have resulted in a much higher score:
-Ventilation is an issue, especially in the very large bathroom - you can have the window open (not feasible at night with mosquitoes) but there is no extractor fan.
-There is no hot water available in the sink and the tap really does need replacing.
-There is no lamp for more subtle lighting & none of the lights above the bed worked.
-There are plants all around the balcony which is lovely but they do need watering! We watered them whilst we were there as they were completely dry!
-The room would look better & feel cooler without the carpet and as there’s no air conditioning, the fan really needs to be on all the time on hot nights rather than only for a max of 1 hour at a time.
-A couple of wine glasses provided would have been great as it would have been so nice sitting enjoying the balcony & views in the evenings.
Very lovely couple that were very attentive. Varuna was very accommodating as well! The room itself was absolutely stunning and the view was gorgeous to wake up to as well as to watch the stars at night. Truly an amazing place to stay!
Beautiful place to stay. The room was amazing with a large wrap around balcony overlooking Ella Rock which made you feel completely emmersed in nature.. You really could not get a better view. Breakfast in the morning was superb, the owners are so helpful and friendly, providing phone numbers for transport and organising trips. We went to Ravanna falls which is a must do, a tuktuk and guide was organised for us. Everyone wants to make your stay as amazing as possible. You are away from the busyness of Ella, but only a 5/6 minute walk away. We really wanted to stay longer and when we are in Ella again we would stay here.
Beautiful place, away from the noise, yet everything is within walking distance. Gorgeous view from the balcony, but what truly makes it stand out are the owners!
Teesha and her husband are the most kind and heartwarming people. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived - were exceptionally helpful, extremely responsive, always there for me whenever I needed something, gave me lots of recommendations, even lent me an umbrella when it rained, and helped me move my luggage to the hotel next door (in rain!!) when I had to check out because their place was full. I felt so looked after - they truly made my stay. Highly recommend their place! :)
Lovely wrap around balcony with stunning views
Hands down our host. She was kind and gentle, gave good recommendations and made you feel welcome from the moment you met. The location is superb, close to the action but far away from the noise. The views from your veranda is out of this world.
We did not managed to book the big room with the views. Our room was basic and functional. Need more hooks and space for your belongings. If you cannot book the big room but still want to enjoy the warm hospitality, make sure you manage your expectations. We still enjoyed ourselves but will try to book the big room next time.
Semplicemente fantastico!
Siamo stati da loro per due sere, ma avrei voluto restare molto più a lungo. Le camere erano pulite, la doccia calda, la vista davvero mozzafiato. Ma ciò che ha reso il soggiorno speciale sono stati soprattutto loro: due persone straordinarie, sempre gentili, disponibili e pronte ad aiutarci in ogni cosa.
La vista era tra le più belle che abbiamo visto a Ios, e grazie ai loro consigli abbiamo scoperto posti meravigliosi. È stato un piacere chiacchierare con loro e condividere momenti insieme. Inoltre, hanno un grande amore per gli animali e fanno di tutto per salvarne e accudirne quanti più possibile.

Great property - walking distance to the main strip but secluded enough to enjoy the natural surroundings and fantastic views. Friendly helpful owners and staff. Excellent breakfast with a view to soothe the soul. We loved our stay and would totally come back
Hot water on the shower can be tricky to operate but we managed to find the sweet spot and had no issue during our stay
