This hotel is truly exceptional on every level. Polished staff and personal attention. You are escorted to your room for checking in. The hall carpets and lifts are pristine. The furnishings in the room are first rate - linens, lighting, mini bar, coffee and tea. The heated bath floor and automatic toilet (also heated seat) was a hoot too. Unfortunately we neglected to take photos of the public spaces but they are as you'd expect. You really want for nothing. Upon departure, we had notified them that the shower door was leaking. Not a big deal, but just trying to be helpful. For our "inconvenience" we were refunded 300 GBP. Unnecessary but what a touch. One of out top 5 hotel experiences for certain.

Το ξενοδοχείο είναι ανακαινισμένο με διακόσμηση πιό ανάλαφρη από πρίν αλλά διατηρώντας την βαρύτητα της κατηγορίας του.
Είχα κλείσει δωμάτιο ανώτερης κατηγορίας με θέα την πόλη. Όμως , αρχικώς μού πρότειναν ένα πολύ όμορφο δωμάτιο με θέα ένα γιαπί…απογοητευτικό. Ζήτησα αλλαγή και μού έδωσαν ένα άλλο δωμάτιο που δεν είχε θέα στην πόλη, αλλά τουλάχιστον έβλεπε σε ένα εσωτερικό χώρο σάν κήπο.
Ακόμη είχα ζητήση ηλεκτρονικώς να έχουν κατά την άφιξη στο δωμάτιο ένα μπουκέτο λουλούδια , αλλά κανείς δεν είχε δεί το ημαίηλ μου. Τελικώς ζήτησα από ένα άτομο της υποδοχής να το φροντίσει ώστε να υπάρχει το μπουκέτο στο νέο δωμάτιο. Μού είπε ότι θα το φροντίσει, αλλά τελικώς, τελικώς, πήγα μόνος μου στο ανθοπωλείο του ξενοδοχείου και πήρα μόνος μου το μπουκέτο διότι ήθελα να το προσφέρω στην σύζυγο μου. Μετά βέβαια μού ζήτησαν συγνώμη από την Υποδοχή…
Η αλήθεια είναι ότι δεν περίμενα τέτοια έλλειψη συνεννόησης μεταξύ των υπαλλήλων του ξενοδοχείου.

The spa facilities (pool sauna) are in a meighbouring hotel , but understand why.
I visited the Dorchester for my 35th birthday it was an amazing birthday. I really enjoyed it. The staff had made my bedroom so beautifully and gave me balloons and cake. We was catered for and made very special guests. It was awesome. I was crying as I was so happy and emotional and staff made everything so great..I will love to visit again next year. This was a very luxury experience and so beautifully the staff thought of us. The bed was amazing and comfortable. We had in room dining which was incredible
I didn't enjoy the undisclosed fees. If you have. Certain balance you have to pay 200.00 for an accidental fee and they also take a discretionary accommodation fee for 50.00 out of that as well. It isn't known to paying customers that this is optional. I think this needs to be told to customers as this will reflect their actual costs.
