The bathroom and how water stagnates near the bathtub

Can’t think of anything. We loved it here.

Not one thing we did not like.

The location wasn’t good. There were no vaguely touristy restaurants or shops outside the villa (except their own restaurant). The sewage smell in the bathroom negates all the positive aspects of the bathroom.
There was no reception area. Only five rooms.

Not a dislike as it is mentioned on the website but a new property is being built opposite and the noise is all day. Luckily they don’t start too early. It is possible to walk into Ubud but there is no real pavement so walking is not easy. Check your booking to see if breakfast is included. The restaurant does a nice breakfast.

De handdouche was kapot bij aankomst. Deze was overigens snel gerepareerd. Ook liep het water in de douche niet weg. Dat duurde ruim een dag om te fixen, dat was jammer. Ook konden we geen flesjes water kopen bij het villapark. We moesten hiervoor een taxi bestellen om naar de dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt te gaan.

Unfortunately there is a lot of building work going on throughout the day as they are building more lodges and extending the place, it started as early as 5am, and the wooden lodges have very little to no sound protection, so what should have been a peaceful tranquil place was quite the opposite.
Breakfast was also a bit restricted which we found strange, we had to order the day before which was fine, but then you could have either fruit juice or fruit and yogurt, not both, and fruit juice was the only cold drink, we had to pay extra for water… the food itself was ok, and plenty of it.
The location is in the middle of nowhere.. very little around the place, and a good 15 mins drive away from Ubud for shops and restaurants etc.. we used grab a lot so taxis were cheap, but the traffic around Ubud is crazy busy, so it was nice to be in a place away from the traffic chaos, but for us a bit to far out, and with the building work not very quiet either.
Finally make sure you don’t break anything! We accidentally broke a cup, which we would have paid to replace, however instead of removing the broken cup and replacing it, the dirty broken cup was left out all the time we stayed as a reminder that we’d broken it,,and meaning we both could not make ourselves a drink in the room… we didn’t end up paying by way of compensation for the noise, but just a strange way that this was handled.

Unfortunately there was a construction every day for several hours in the places nearby. Lawnmowers from around worked non-stop too. These noises were not made by the hotel maybe but still made the comfort less. We couldn't have some of our breakfasts that we already pre-paid because of our tour schedules for some days, we requested having them as a meal pack. We were given only fruit juice, coffee , 2 slices of bread, small croissant , small jam/ butter and sliced fruit. We didn't get a boiled egg or sausage that we can actually get if we had the breakfast in the hotel.
Our dirty towels were taken in daily room make up but weren't given properly back.
Cabin number 1 is next to the workers' resting area. We stayed in Cabin 1. All the staff's talk was heard clearly inside the room, probably our talks in the room could also be heard by them. There must be another place that the workers/maid rest. Because the walls are not soundproof.
Finally, if one day they want to change the safe box/chest boxes in the room then bigger boxes can be nice to put laptops in too.

Initially, I was not placed in the room I booked, it was smaller and less cozy. And in the morning, the staff came to wake me up to move me to the room I paid for. It was very uncomfortable. Plus, there is no soundproofing in the houses and in the morning you can hear the staff preparing for the work day.

Slight smell on the toilet, this is probably the plumbing which is normal for Bali but not Australian standards. Finished plates could be taken away after your finished with them rather than once a day.
