Location great but pricey with mediocre customer service
Pros:

Excellent location and very comfortable room

Cons:

Poor value for money given what we paid for the room they levied an extra parking charge plus a hefty charge for breakfast - bringing the total cost to around £300 for a one night stay. Also at these prices I wouldn’t expect to serve myself from a buffet at breakfast!

Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Would stay again.
Pros:

Check in was smooth, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a bath (always a bonus), and the restaurant was lovely.

Cons:

I got sent A LOT of emails in advance of my stay, and it was so hot! As a permantently cold person, being hot takes some doing! But I didn't sleep all that well because the room was so hot, despite having a very comfortable bed.

Spoilt slightly by the first night in an inappropriate, noisy room but overall it was so good!
Pros:

I loved the house and the location. The staff were professional and helpful. Our suite for three nights was exceptionally good.

Cons:

The deluxe double room which we had on night one of four. We had booked a first floor room as we have a dog but were put in a second floor room which was possibly at one of the furthest points from the front door. Not ideal if your dog needs to go out in the night. The room was cramped with very noisy water pipes which disturbed us throughout the night. We were upgraded to a first floor suite with very easy access to the entrance for the remaining three nights at a discounted rate. This suite was fabulous, with a beautiful view over the park, huge bed, gorgeous bathroom. Our last three nights were great. We loved it.

Nearly right
Pros:

Staff were excellent - helpful and charming. The receptionist was a bit flaky but other staff stepped in immediately and helped out. Restaurant was good. Good parking. Breakfast delicious. The room was large and had a lovely view over the park.

Cons:

The room smelt faintly of drains and it was far too hot overnight. I couldn’t open the windows and the temp couldn’t be changed - 22C is just too warm.

Appalling customer service and bad will being displayed to your customers
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

I made the booking in good faith expecting to be able to book a table in the restaurant for dinner. When I tried to book the restaurant there was no availability and so I immediately cancelled the room booking. This was within 30 minutes of making the original booking. You refused to cancel the room booking without a penalty and expect me to pay the full cost of the room. This is not acceptable

Pros:

Beatutiful location. Comforable bed.

Cons:

The room was fine although if you want a garden view opt for a room on the first floor as the windows on the second are very small and you would have to stand right next to them to get a view of anything other than sky. It was decorated all in sombre brown -no pictures. There was only a shower over a very high sided bath. Some people would struggle to get into the shower but this was not pointed out. Don't stay there if you are gluten free. There was virtually nothing on the breakfast buffet that was gluten free and very limited choice if wanted a cooked breakfast. Opted for scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with toast. The toast was not toasted so sent it back when it was returned the scrambled egg was cold.
