I stayed in this room with my boyfriend and it was absolutely amazing!
The room was very comfortable and the location is perfect. I especially loved the shower — the water pressure was excellent and incredibly refreshing, especially during the summer heat. The bed was also very comfortable, and the air conditioning made a big difference with the hot weather.
Mr. Gayet is a very polite and respectful host. We felt safe, respected, and completely comfortable throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it.
Great location; close to beach, restaurants, grocers, shops. Clean, quiet room.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property during our stay

- Er was een minibar gevuld met drinken dat we mochten pakken

My fiancée and I booked four nights but were kicked out after the first night by the owners because they didn’t like that we were an unmarried mixed race couple. We were sent texts and DMs that were insulting, called my black fiancée a disgusting animal that makes terrible noises and said we had damaged the neighborhood. Owners lied and said we were loud. Booking.com and owners kept the money for all four nights as “punishment” even though we were kicked out after one night. Booking.com said it was the owners decision whether or not to refund for the nights we were not allowed to stay. Only stay here if you are a married, white couple and don’t book more than two nights.

Really and ideal location in Ipanema. Close to the beach, lots of restaurants and just the whole Ipanema vibe directly in front of the door. Yet, it’s absolutely quiet in the apartment. The host are a really very kind couple, living in the apartment and you have your own room and bathroom.
All excellent for me. You just have to be aware that this is not a hotel. You are renting a private en-suite room within their apartment.

Possibility to prepare your own food and space in the fridge for your stuff, an usage of washing machine
Noise levels were very low, the hosts respected quiet hours

There's a bar right next door, which attracts a lot of crowd at night. However, the bedroom is located at the opposite side of the building complex, it is barely noticeable
