Pour les fans de Karen Blixen, écrivaine de "Out of Africa"
Pros:

Hôtel dans le quartier excentré de Karen au sein du country club et en face de la maison Karen Blixen. Lieu calme, arboré, avec vue sur le golf. Jolis bâtiments de style colonial. Idéal si vous désirez visiter la maison de Karen Blixen (écrivaine de "Out of Africa")

Cons:

Cet établissement est loin du centre et de l'aéroport. Mais nous y avons séjourné au calme et avec plaisir lors d'une étape entre les parcs de Masai Mara et d'Amboseli.

Perfekt läge för att turista i Nairobi, i synnerhet för attraktionerna omkring Karen.
Pros:

Stora fina lägenheter. Kändes tryggt och säkert. Mycket bra läge i Karen där flera av de stora turistattraktionerna i Nairobi ligger. Vi bokade en bil med chaufför en heldag som tog oss runt till sevärdheter dels i Karen dels till Nairobi National Museum.

I will be back.
Pros:

One of the best stays in Nairobi. Great staff at the restaurant, reception and rooms. Food was excellent. Amenities are top class. Location is very convenient. I would highly recommend The Residence at Karen.

Cons:

This is just a suggestion. There was nowhere to sit during the rain. The rain came into the balcony making it impossible to sit outside, which meant sitting inside. Inside the bedroom there was a desk chair and a corner chair and not comfortable for two people. I suggest a sofa at the end of the bed with a coffee table.

A great stay at a lovely hotel with use of country club facilities
Pros:

We had a great stay at The Residences. We had a 2 bedroom cottage with a large terrace. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped.
We loved being able to use the facilities at Karen Country Club which is a 7 minute walk or short golf cart drive - the kids enjoyed the pool and we played tennis (small extra cost).
The included breakfast was good and plentiful. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant but there were several eating options between The Residences and the Country Club.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. They allowed us a late check out (at additional cost) which was super helpful with our late flight out of Nairobi.
The hotel is well situated for visiting the Karen attractions - the Karen Blixen Museum and coffee gardens are over the road and it’s a short uber/ taxi ride to the Giraffe Centre.
It is around 30-40 drive from JKI Airport.

Cons:

There is no A/C or ceiling fans in the rooms so we found it hot at night.

Exceptional location and accommodation-
Pros:

Best location! Close to best sites in Nairobi-National Park, Blixen Estate, Sheldricks, Giraffe Center, wonderful restaurants and shopping!!
Our cottage was as pictured above- perfect for families or couples. Beautiful accommodations near golf course and clubhouse. Wonderful Staff!!

Cons:

Could not get take away coffee/light breakfast earlier when we had an early start-

Garden treasure
Pros:

A sweet little spot in Karen. Beautiful location, surrounded by trees and gardens. The team is very friendly and helpful but the room was a little outdated. Could use some tlc.

A must place to stay and we will return.
Pros:

We needed a rest after 3 weeks of missionary work and this place provided it for us. We were able to sit, relax and reflect on the trip. It was peaceful and had everything we needed. The club house is a very short walk, or have the staff drive you in a golf cart, and has great food at a great price. The location is great to other sites in Nairobi and easy to find.

Cons:

I cannot think of anything that I would change. They provided everything promised and more. If someone finds fault, it is them not Karen. A must place to stay and we will return.

Overall had an amazing stay♥️.
Pros:

Location in peaceful location within Karen, near to Giraffe center, the type of residence suits families, the staff were very polite and nice, the security level was on point, the design of the villa was very nice and view to garden was amazing. The gluten free cake recommended in pool cafe was very tasty.

Cons:

Would like to see more variety of food and more quality in breakfast menu.
