Dated and tired, needs some tlc
Pros:

Grounds were lovely and the big rooms in the main building were beautiful.

Cons:

Felt dates and room had a smell of stale smoke. Definitely needs a deep clean and renovation.
Also ordered a burger in the Atrium and the middle of the burger was raw. They did replace it but definitely put me off!

Pros:

Beautiful mansion style hotel with historical features like the fabulous staircase, woodwork and period feature ceilings, with stunning decor throughout but still managing to retain a warm and cosy feel throughout. Lovely grounds with different garden layouts, terraces and woodland areas. The staff were extremely friendly and sociable as well as being professional and kind.

Amazing hotel, friendly staff, great facilities. Would definitely recommend and stay again
Pros:

Amazing hotel, lovely welcome from staff. Very nice pool and sauna. Room upgrade, birthday card and chocolate in the room was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was amazing! Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to family and friends.

Comfortable. Delightful. Happy to have stayed there.
Pros:

This was my first stay at this hotel. The meal was exceptional. The breakfast choice outstanding. Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds was beautiful. The drive up to.the Gothic style hotel was breathtaking.

Cons:

Could of done with a lift to the first floor to the room I stayed in. I have mobility issues. But I managed.

Beautiful place but wouldn’t recommend

Lovely grounds beautiful hotel

Cons:

No slippers in the room
The spa you can’t sit there and relax, just some chairs and you have to book the spa slot for an hour, I went for my baby moon so that’s all we could do and it was just uncomfortable.

It seems like it’s just for weddings, as you walk around you feel like your intruding in someone’s wedding

OK but unlikely not to visit again.
Pros:

Building was incredible and the grounds too - the Arboretum was fantastic. Food was good too (when it came!), and breakfast had some good options.

Cons:

Service was slow in both the bar and the restaurant, and the rooms were OK but not cleaned until very late.

Not worth the price
Pros:

The grounds are beautiful

Cons:

My room was gloomy and dark. Dinner options were limited even for one person. The massage in the spa was the worst massage I’ve experienced- akin to someone simply rubbing oil on me.
