Large property with lovely gardens
It’s very large and if your room is on the furthest side of the property, good luck with all your bags, there were no luggage trolleys or help offered
Breakfast was great. Had various types to choose from. Staff were helpful.
Not clean enough
Great breakfast, ample parking, good bathroom, pool facilities, bistro nice
No aircon in room, no help offered with luggage, acts fancier than it is.
Excellent couple of days stay.
Would have preferred a king size bed rather a double
Setting was gorgeous
Nothing
Beautiful place.
The grounds and hotel was beautiful. It really did make a special place to take anyone away too.
Beautiful hotel and grounds . A number of bars to choose from including outdoor.
Our shower needed maintenance but issue was quickly resolved
Amazing building and grounds. Nice included breakfast. Loads of parking. Very dog friendly hotel with garden access for dog and OK to leave dog in room for short periods, bowls and treats provided. Dogs allowed on leads in the grounds, which were lovely to explore and have a drink in. There is even a small pet cemetery in the grounds! Comfortable large bed and seating area in our room which was the most basic room type. Overall very happy with the stay which worked for us and our dog whilst we were visiting the area for a family event. Staff lovely, relaxed and welcoming.
This is an enormous hotel with what felt like hundreds of rooms. Lots of people around but the hotel is big enough to accommodate this. They have weddings or events on seemingly most nights in a separate space. None of this bothered us at all but might bother some? The general furnishings of the rooms were tired and somewhat grubby, bathroom fittings old and particularly presentable, although I am sure they had been cleaned. Overall sort of worn feel. We felt this was reasonable to accept for the price so we didn’t mind too much + room was dog friendly which may contribute to worn furnishings. The bed linen and towels were nice though and felt fresh. Overall we were very happy with this stay, hence rating, and would visit again without question. If it was more expensive or felt overpriced we would probably take a different view!
The hotel and grounds are simply stunning! The outdoor eating facilities were wonderful, especially being able to order food and drinks to the table. We also made use of the spa facilities one morning, pool and jacuzzi were lovely.
We stayed in a cosy courtyard room but only a few negatives come to mind - there was no lift up to our room 245 which thankfully, carrying a heavy case, my husband was able to manage but elderly or disabled would not have managed this. The room had no air conditioning which in 30+ degree heat made the first night or two a little uncomfortable even with the provided fan being on 24/7. The back of the bathroom door could do with a clean.
Beautiful setting and surroundings .Good food and drinks in the bistro and plentiful and tasty buffet breakfast in the main dining room .Pleasant and polite staff .Nice swimming pool .
Ladies shower area in the spa rather tired looking No fridge in our twin bedroom i.
Staff very friendly and courtious
Gym and pool being on different levels
The grounds and the hotel itself are amazing. The breakfast had good variety and the staff were very nice.
Our room didn’t have air-con (the staff provided us with a fan) and the room was very hot the first night, making us not sleep very well
