Excellent location with a fabulous onsen in the basement. Didn’t try the free evening ramen but did enjoy the free ice lollies after the onsen. Small rooms but so well thought out and well equipped.
Nice sauna. Clean rooms. Free ice cream. And especially the possibility to use a shared space with Softdrinks and coffee.
I have stayed at many Dormy Inn hotels throughout Japan over the years, and they have always been among my favorite hotel chains. Because of those consistently positive experiences, I chose Dormy Inn Premium Ginza for this stay without hesitation.
My husband and I live in Japan, and we booked this hotel to enjoy a few relaxing days while renovation work was being done at our home. One of the main reasons we chose Dormy Inn was the public onsen. We truly appreciate Japanese bathing culture, and relaxing in a clean, well-maintained public bath is one of the highlights of staying at this hotel chain.
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were nice, the facilities were well maintained, and the staff were polite and professional.
Unfortunately, our entire stay was overshadowed by what happened in the public bath. On multiple occasions, I observed guests entering the bath without showering properly beforehand. Most of these guests appeared to be chinese tourists (because speaking Chinese). Watching people enter a communal bath without washing themselves first was extremely unhygienic and honestly quite disgusting. It completely ruined the experience for me.
After witnessing this several times, I no longer felt comfortable using the onsen for the remainder of our stay, which was incredibly disappointing because it was one of the main reasons we had booked this hotel in the first place.
I mentioned my concerns to a female staff member. She was polite and explained that showering before entering the bath is indeed one of the hotel’s rules. She also said that staff would warn anyone they saw violating the rules. While I appreciated her response, I honestly don’t think this is enough. Unless a staff member is constantly monitoring the changing room and bathing area, these situations are almost impossible to prevent.
It's really great to have hot spring at the hotel after taking a long flight. And it's very clean, popsicle is a bonus :)
The room is a bit too tight to open a large suitcase, but that's fine since I already expected it to be a bit packed. If you're not traveling with a huge 26-inch bag, you'll be totally fine.
Location is great and onsen is a benefit
Very large hotel
Great room size. Amazing onsen facilities. Free laundry. The location was super.
The pillow was hard.
Needed to be at the breakfast at nine at the latest.
Best location possible in Ginza.
The rooms where a little small.
Amenities were great and amazing breakfast
Very small bathroom
I reserved two room for 5 people and there was not enough room. They shouldn’t have let me book if they could not provide bedding for 3 people in a room. We had to book somewhere else
