Definitely not a hotel!!
Pros:

Great location and good value for my money.

Cons:

Dirty, ran down. I mean it was still great value for my money but calling this a "hotel" is absolutely despicable. This is a motel though and through: broken door frames, cracked furniture, someone's hair on my pillow.

Very disappointing experience.
Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from pleasant. The staff seem to have very little understanding of basic hospitality etiquette and how to communicate respectfully with guests.

One of the biggest issues was the internet. The Wi-Fi barely worked during my stay, and surprisingly the problem was not fixed for 7 days. In today’s world, especially for travelers, this is simply unacceptable.

Another uncomfortable aspect was the constant presence of people sitting outside near the entrance, like in a gazebo area. These people were not hotel guests, but apparently friends of the owners who gathered there every day. It created noise and an atmosphere that felt more like someone’s private yard than a hotel where guests are supposed to relax.

I was also surprised by the food prices. Even very simple items were extremely expensive — at one point I paid more for a single cola than what you would normally pay at an airport, which felt unreasonable.

There was also a confusing situation regarding visitors. One evening around 9:00 PM (not late at night), when I brought a guest, the staff suddenly said it was not allowed and claimed it was for “security reasons.” However, they did not ask for any passport, did not register anything, and seemed unsure themselves about how the rules actually work. The whole situation felt unprofessional and poorly managed.

Overall, because of the lack of professionalism, poor management, and uncomfortable atmosphere, I would not recommend staying here.

Cosy family-style small hotel in a great location
Pros:

Cosy family-style small hotel located just few steps away from a major shopping area and a major transportation center. Hotel personnel is outstanding and genuely caring about their guests 24/7, including transfers during might/early morning time.

Very good hotel in central Taksim Square location, walkable to metro and connection to airport train
Pros:

Great central location in lively central part of Istanbul within a short 10min walk of Taksim Square metro and connection to airport train. November is not a busy time for tourist hotels so hey gave me a small 2-bedroom suite even though I only booked a single room. The hotel has covered outside dining which was v pleasant even in November when the weather was still quite warm.

Cons:

Electric kettle in bedroom for making tea, which is great, but the lead was too short to use safely.
