Lovely old house with charming staff who could not be more helpful. Excellent restaurant.

Charming staff, lovely location.

Cons:

Bathroom was in need of a bit of work. Shower seal missing so flooded the floor and only one of two shower heads worked.

Fabulous atmospheric stay.
Pros:

Loved the decor and atmosphere, truly an historical experience. The comfort of the bar lounge area was wonderful. When you walked into reception you were transported in time and greeted with smiles and curtesy.

Cons:

The barman was stressed as it was a very busy evening, not his fault but it wasn’t the pleasant exchange we expected.

Proper Irish Castle Experience
Pros:

We had a lovely stay in the castle, the room was huge, clean and had beautiful decor. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous, recommend the Drunken Bullock!

Cons:

Breakfast is served in the cafe attached instead of the castle so you only have a castle dining experience if eating separately the restaurant. However, it was no issue for us - the food there is lovely and the staff were really kind and friendly.
