Unique experience with true feel of a castle from an era gone by. Dinner was excellent.

It‘s an amazing scenery the castle, the woods.
We were there 10 years ago and there have bern a few changes more in leadership I would say. The food was not as good as it was, still good snd high quality but not as it was back in 2014.
Quirky but just so original and unusual as a hotel. Lots of character.

The staff were all very attentive and polite. The Library restaurant food were excellent! It was a boutique castle!
No swimming pool..
Bella esperienza per chi vuole provare una notte in un castello, la struttura è stupenda. La nostra camera era bella ed arredata in stile, comodo per chi viaggia in macchina, silenzioso. Abbiamo anche cenato nel ristorante dell'hotel, molto buono ma anche costoso.
Il bagno decisamente migliorabile, rubinetto del lavandino allentato e quindi molto mobile, il lavandino stesso era intasato e quindi l'acqua scendeva male. Prodotti da bagno minimi. Televisore vecchio con pochi canali e senza internet. Colazione solo alla carta, ma comunque buona.
C'è la possibilità di fare tour del castello ma purtroppo solo in orari che spezzano la giornata (ore 12 e ore 14) quindi poco attuabili.
Staff were phenomenal( thank you ) - the tour was a lil cooky - a wonderful collection of items but just scattered very hodgepodge but that kind of made the experience a lil fun and unique and gave us stories to tell - the bar was fabulous - the room was quite lovely and liked that all the rooms had a very different and unique design - we were so lucky to be able to peek into a few as they were prepping for a wedding the day of our departure - THE DINNER WAS UNREAL - in every way - AN ABSOLUTE MUST - the grounds are lovely and you are just a tiny moment in the car to get into town if you wish - the DINING ROOM DECOR *
im still not sure did I like the fact that the communal/ main rooms were a bit dusty and cobwebby or was that part of the "castle charm" I would stay again so it didnt bother me that much but at first I was a little confused and almost thought lets cancel dinner BUT OH SO GLAD WE DID NOT - again it was AMAZING - unfortunately the cafe was not open the day we arrived so that was a bummer - I would say just dont expect glamorous pristine castle vibes - more like walking into an elaborate country estate that has wonderful sunlight flowing thru the windows with indoor outdoor dust here or there a very "comfortable way of life country home" part of the charm that sets it apart from some of the other "castle stays " we have encountered in Ireland - nothing we didnt like just bits of character that I wasn't sure about at first - the addition of ship design here and there was a lil like the collection area lil hodgepodge but grows on you and give the house a real sense of "personality" - but were completely fine overall once it was absorbed - that being said WOULD DEF STAY AGAIN :) and we LOVED it!

Absolutely nothing
Out of all the castle stays we have stayed in this trip in Ireland, this was our favourite. The castle is gorgeous and all the decorations seemed so authentic. I felt like I’d taken a step back in time. The food was absolutely brilliant. Truly, this is a very special stay.
I would have loved to get a tour, please think about offering a dinner and tour
Room was very clean and comfortable. Everything was beautiful. Enjoyed walking the grounds, exploring the building, and breakfast at Jack Fenn’s. Only wish we had more time there.

Maintenance equipment at the rear could have been tucked away somewhat better so as not to obscure the otherwise lovely views.
Staying at a historical place with modern amenities was wonderful. I loved the beautiful bedroom and the public areas were decorated with amazing detail. The wood in the bar and throughout was gorgeous and unique🌻

A great castle stay. Car parking outside the main door. Dinner, I had the signature dish, steak on a sword. it was unbelievably good! My wife had lobster, and really rates it too. The grounds are good for walking, and it is very quite at the castle. Breakfast was equally good with great coffee and juices. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
