Really enjoyed this hotel. Clean, comfortable with good facilities including a great onsen and footspa on the rooftop. You also got a free drink each evening on the terrace which was a nice touch. The location was good - an easy walk over to Gion.
The laundry service was exceptionally expensive and the costs we were charged were significantly higher than the invoice we had received.

Friendly and Accommodating staff in the heart of the Gion District, super accessible to do everything you want in Kyoto. Also the view from the onsen on the 9th floor was incredible and refreshing

Room was small with limited space for luggage but this is typical in Japan

Traditional breakfast underwhelming and there was no common place for breakfast. There was no view except the wall of another building. ☹️
Loved the roof terrace, sitting with our feet in the warm foot bath, enjoying a nightly free drink and taking in the views of the city. Loved having our breakfast up there too. The onsen also had the same amazing view - alternating between men/women with the other onsen which didn't have a view. Location was fab too, very central to bars, cafes and stations.
The bedroom was really tiny with very little space for clothes storage for 2 adults staying for 4 nights. There was nowhere convenient to store our suitcases either, so we kept tripping up over those. The breakfasts in a box were pretty disappointing, we had expected a traditional hotel buffet breakfast. There was no bar area to relax and chat or play cards in the evening either, just the reception area.

Great location close to 2 different train stations. Easily walkable into the downtown.
The room was quite small. It’s deceptive in the pictures shown online compared to the actual size of the room. This was my only main issue with our choice of hotel during our day. Everything else is pretty decent.

Room was really small. Expected small but couldn't open suitcases without putting on the bed and there wasn't enough space underneath the bed for them.

Amazing rooftop terrace and shared baths. Staff super helpful and friendly. Nice touches like free drinks were appreciated. Fantastic location between Gion and shopping areas.
We loved how the onsen was included. Specifically we loved the rooftop foot onsen looking over the mountains! You get a free alcoholic drink in the evenings up there! Also loved the free snacks on level 9

Good location, good rooftop view. Ofuro included, but it switches every day so depending on when you stay you may not get the one with a view
My room had a view to the north which was just another building. Breakfast is not included but the paid option is a prepackaged breakfast that varies each day and may not be to everyone's liking
