Amazing Onsen and central location. Terrace, but not in winter/early spring when it is almost useless as seating outside is chilly despite running hot water provided for soaking legs
Awful breakfast, worst one during our stay in Japan. Everything cold and pre packed, tasteless and the worst thing - no place to eat it. Staff advice us to take it in the room - superior one but facing directly into the nearby building, no sun, no sky, like in prison.

The highlight is the terrace, which features a bar and the unique opportunity to bath your feet in hot water — perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring Kyoto.

The rooms are equipped with absolutely everything you might need—including traditional Japanese clothing. The hotel also features a spa area, although we didn’t have the chance to use it.

The standard rooms are really small — very small! We even had trouble fitting in two standard suitcases.
Breakfast is served in boxes, and guests are free to choose where to eat. In nice weather, the rooftop terrace is the preferred option. There are two alternating breakfast types: an average continental breakfast and a traditional Japanese one, which some guests may find a bit challenging in the morning.
Reception is located on the 9th floor, and I honestly couldn’t tell whether the carpet had a deliberate pattern or was simply very worn and dirty. We didn´t like that all kind of drinks were served in plastic "glasses".
This hotel is beautiful! The rooms are really lovely and the rooftop bar and onsen are really outstanding. Would 100% recommend and would love to stay here again! Location wise its perfect walking distance for all the temples and a short train ride away for a few other things.

Very convenient location. The rooftop terrace is fantastic. The onsen is terrific & the lobby has free coffee & snacks.
Our room was very clean and nice but was small.
Amazing location, easily walkable to Nishiki market, Gion district, Pontocho alley, lots of bars and restaurants. Wasn't expecting the foot spa on the rooftop, which was very welcomed after so much walking and welcome drinks (!) as well as lovely views too. Free soft drinks, coffee and snacks also available in the lobby area.
Comfortable bed, great powerful shower.
The room was the smallest we stayed in in Japan which was a bit tricky with all our luggage, but after rearranging some of the tables we manged to squeeze everything in. There was also a bit of a musty smell, but a dehumidifier was provided.
Most likely the best location in town. Beautiful view from the terrace while you enjoy the drink and hot footbath after a long day with a lot of walking.
No breakfast buffet. You can get a overpriced bento box for the breakfast.

Еду не пробовали, тк рядом очень много разных кафе, ходили все разы в новые места.
Обязательный доп сбор за кофе зону и онсен, можно было бы вшить это в стоимость отеля и не собирать доп деньги.

Enjoyed the hotel's location, complimentary drinks in the lounge & roof terrace and the hot foot spa on the terrace.
Our room was small but had everything we needed and the bathroom was good.
The Onsen was quiet.
Most of the desk staff were great. One lady spent time trying to find somewhere to get my phone screen mended. She called lots of places for me, which was very kind.
Some of the staff were a little unwelcoming. One lady in particular took exception to me standing outside the front of the hotel with our rented bikes, while my husband went up to our room to get his sunglasses. She asked me to move away and although I explained, she then stood watch, staring at me until my husband reappeared!
Totally unnecessary.
