Tout ! Je recommande vraiment, l’emplacement est super face à une plage déserte et seulement à quelques km de herikateya. Le petit déjeuner est super et la vue des chambre donne sur la mer.
L’accueil des hôtes et leur disponibilite.
En plus de ça, ils sauvent les œufs des tortues pour les libérer ensuite dans la mer, nous avons pu assister à des naissances de tortue c’était incroyable

Unsere Lieblingsunterkunft in Sri Lanka! Direkt an einem ruhigen Strand, wir lagen viel auf den Liegen direkt unter Palmen, es war traumhaft. Das Highlight sind die Eigentümer, sie sind so nett und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten easy einen Roller mieten, haben ein richtig leckeres Frühstück bekommen und waren dabei, als Schildkrötenbabies ins Wasser gelassen wurden. Dolores hilft bei jedem Anliegen und ist dabei super entspannt. Die Zimmer sind groß, die Betten bequem, der Blick aufs Meer atemberaubend.

Our room was spotlessly clean. One of the cleanest room during our stay in Sri Lanka. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was very good and quiet. The hosts were lovely and gave us King Coconut and watermelon juice. We only had breakfast on one day and it was good. Best of all was the amazing location. Steps away from the most beautiful beach. We watched our host release baby turtles while the sun was setting on our first evening which was a lovely sight
We struggled with wifi. It was only effective when we were on our patio. The shower was also quite weak. We found the room we had a bit small but it was as advertised so can’t really complain about that. All that said the location made up for the shortcomings.

Die Lage ist einfach perfekt, an einem langen, ruhigen Strand. In der Gegend gibt es einige gute Restaurants.
Dolores war eine super Gastgeberin und hat uns morgens ein leckeres Frühstück gezaubert und immer geschaut, dass auch etwas für unsere kleine Tochter dabei war. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit!
Everything. It was clean, the room is spacious, the view to the seaside and palmtrees is amazing, the AC works, hot water for shower. Dolores is very friendly and willing to help, we really appreciated it!
I wish we stayed more days
Die Unterkunft war wirklich traumhaft – im Nachhinein wären wir am liebsten noch länger geblieben. Wir konnten total gut entspannen, und das Frühstück war einfach sooo lecker.
We had the best stay at Moon Light Beach Resort! The beach is unreal with swimmable waters and only a handful of people as far as you can see. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We are so sad we only had two days.
The hosts are great and super helpful. Their Sri Lankan breakfast was our favourite of the trip.
The property is beautiful with only 6 rooms. The rooms are modern, large and clean. They are also only steps from the beach with every room having a view. Close great restaurants. So glad we stayed here verse the hiriketiya area which was super busy with tourists.
We hope to be back one day! Thank you thank you!
Everything was perfect in every way
L'emplacement du logement est incroyable, on sort de la maison et on a la vue sur la plage, le hamac au bord de la plage, des transats dans le jardin.
Les équipements sont fonctionnels et le personnel très gentil et serviable.
L'hôte a adapte le petit dejeuner à mon amie qui est vegan.
Même si c'était écrit, il n'y avait pas de gel douche et de shampoing ce qui est un peu dommage, ça serait bien d'en mettre.
It is beach-front although not particularly accessible or tidy. The rooms were clean, with lovely four-poster beds. The air conditioning worked fantastically. Ample parking.
There were NO facilities here, apparently because it's "off-season", not even coverings for the sun loungers.
We didn't feel particularly safe as they do not have anyone staying on site/adjacent, there were no other guests and there were no cameras etc. There is free access to your room doors from the beach.
A bar of soap but nothing else and the fixtures in the bathroom were not clean. We had continual issues with getting hot water and the WiFi only worked in one of the two rooms. No fridge in the rooms and again because it's low season, they do not have anyone available to cook/store food. Missing a lot of touches that one would expect at this price point (such as a bedside table, a bottle of drinking water, tea bags with creamer/milk - they provided two water glasses, a kettle and some random herbal teas).
Most of the property is derelict including the upper floors and a falling-down restaurant on the plot.
It just doesn't feel finished, or ready for guests.

Dolores and Nimkik met us as we arrived and greeted us by name and set the tone for a 4 night stay. Their service, friendliness, and breakfast cooking make the place. Dolores went out of her way to recommend local places to eat, visit and helped us organise transport locally and for the rest of our trip around SriLanka with her contacts. The hotel is directly on the beach just like the photos, the site looks like it is under development but doesn't effect the stay at all as it has been this way for years. We loved the easy access to Hiriketyia which is only a few minutes by tuk tuk. Supermarket and a variety of eating options all in walking distance.
Visualy the grounds and building look run down but if you can look past it the ladies make it a great stay.
The property is located at the wide clean beach, hammocks and deckchairs under the palm tree. True private beach experience. Shower at the beach.
While I don't have big concerns about the cleanliness, the room definitely looks better on the pictures than in reality - and seemed to be worth the money. In reality most things are worn-off, dirty walls, AC and ceiling fan in rust, no soap in the bathroom/toilet paper refills.
Another thing is that for some reason Booking shows this property as being located nearly in the center of Hiriketiya (and I blame Booking here), while in reality there's a good 30-min walk (and good luck finding taxi for a reasonable price there, you're walking ATM in the end).
Bottom line: either the price should go down or the issues with the room have to be fixed, because currently price/value is far from great, you're paying premium for the nice pictures on the site.
Spacious room with a beachfront location and a nice view. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.
Unfortunately the property is not finished yet, so the surroundings are not really in a pleasant condition, which ruins the experience to some extent.
