Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Thamburu! The property is new, clean and well-maintained. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We loved the food as well - the breakfasts starts with fresh fruit and then you can pick your mains so everything is prepared fresh. We also loved the pork and cashew curries from the dinner menu. There are some other restaurants in the area, but we chose to eat in the villa each night because it was that good! We also enjoyed watching the sunset on beanbags with drinks each night. Staying here was so relaxing and we can't wait to come back!

Die ruhige Atmosphäre, das außergewöhnlich gute Essen und das Service möchten wir besonders hervorheben. Wir haben 3 wundervolle Tage hier verbracht. Die Architektur hat uns sehr angesprochen. Ein Fitness und Spa Bereich ist in Planung, was ein zusätzlicher Punkt sein wird, dass wir gerne zurück kommen werden.

Eine der besten Hotel Erfahrungen, die ich jemals hatte 😍 Absolute Empfehlung.
Pros:

Das Design ist sehr geschmackvoll und jedes Detail wurde überlegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Ein Hotel, in dem ich mich ab dem ersten Moment 100% wohl gefühlt habe. Die nahe Lage zur Straße ist clever gelöst, sodass man davon fast nichts mitbekommt. Dafür ist die Nähe zum leeren Strand einfach traumhaft. Das Essen ist hervorragend, der Service super freundlich und es wurde alles möglich gemacht ob Cocktail am Strand bei Sonnenuntergang, Early Checkin oder besondere Essenswünsche. Außerdem sieht und spürt man einfach, dass sich alle Angestellten wirklich gut um das Hotel und die Gäste kümmern.

Excellent beach front property
Pros:

Beautiful water front location. Very quaint and quiet. Exceptional beach. Rooms are good.

Cons:

Floors are very slippery.
Vegetarian food options are limited but whatever is available is good. But there is food all around Bentota and we didn’t find that to be a big issue especially since we don’t like being locked in the property the entire day.

Enjoyable stay, staff were very helpful, good location. Very quiet maybe lacking in atmosphere
Pros:

Staff were very nice and location was very good. Pool was good and room was very comfortable.

Cons:

We enjoyed the breakfast, although the choice was set so a bit regimented, with so few guests an al a carte choice would be an improvement. Sea was on the rough side with some currents so we didn't swim in the sea.

Pros:

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The property is as beautiful as the photos suggest. The location - in essence, you've got a private beach in front of the hotel - means day will drift by, between beach, pool, sun loungers, restaurant, and back again. The food was the best in all of Sri Lanka - not a single dish was an afterthought, including the Western and vegetarian dishes. Every meal was a delight, from the day of arrival (lobster pasta, prawn curry), to the day of departure (chicken cordon bleu with parmesan sauce, crab soup). Looked forward to breakfast every day - a platter of super ripe fruit (procured from the market every morning at 5am, apparently), a lovely fruit smoothie, good coffee (a rarity in Sri Lanka, in my experience),, generous bread basket, and then a selection of a Sri Lankan breakfast or a European brunch type offer. So, there's absolutely no incentive to leave the hotel! Superb all round.

Персонал дійсно дуже добрий, хоч я і не дуже приємна людина, але вони всі посміхалися. Прибирання, сніданки, чистоту можна відмітити, також ресторан файний, бармен знає свою справу.

Cons:

Готель хоч і новий, але за 3роки вже місцями «втомився».
Дизайнеру порадив би прийняти ванну, з однієї сторони кран, з іншої клапан від переповнення, а злив підтікає, то це на один раз покупатися, бажання відпаде на більше.

Стіл, щоб попрацювати - давить в руки, бо там полка, яка висувається.

Більше всього печаль це за готелем, знов тук-тук, візьми тук-тук навіть на пляжі, зʼїж кокос, зазивали в ресторан.. ми ж не в міріссі або унаватуні, це вбиває відпочинок. Хоча на своєму пляжі ви в безпеці

I highly recommend it to those who want a quality vacation in a great boutique hotel.
Pros:

A hotel run with Swiss precision and organization. Beautiful design, immaculate cleanliness, trained and friendly staff. Delicious à la carte meals.
The beach is beautiful and clean, but it is difficult to swim due to the large waves and currents (but this is not the hotel's fault, as most of the island is like this).
