Fabulous location and wonderful historic setting
Breakfast a little bland
Great location. Very comfortable. Very relaxing
It’s a little way out of the town centre but the drive is easy and there is an easy bus
Huge room with three large windows looking down on to the square. A lovely, spacious bathroom & shower that even had a bench & pegs down one end so you could get changed in there comfortably. The BEST hotel bed I have ever slept in - I don’t think I moved all night & the old-fashioned, wonderful shutters made for a great night’s sleep!
On our arrival we were given a complimentary drink in the restaurant bar, which was very welcome after our long trip & we ate in the restaurant too later on - the food and service was exceptional. Breakfast was also served there and my ‘Garden Breakfast’ was really tasty & set me up for the day. This was ordered from a menu & brought to us by lovely, attentive staff, which made such a nice change from the usual ‘school-dinner’ scrum of a normal hotel.
Nothing - even the kettle was great & they had put coffee bags there too for people like me who haven’t got the patience to Google how to use the coffee-pod machine. Perfection.
Breakfast on 1st day needed redoing as eggs were not cooked but replacements were fine. 2nd day was delicious. Croissants best ever eaten.
Staff in Bistro Pierre deserve full marks - polite, respectful, helpful and friendly.
See above - but problem was dealt with quickly and with no issues.
We didnt like that we had no blinds / curtains - previous visitors had broken & new ones on order. Staff informed us that as we were top floor no one could see in which was correct but we were woken by early morning sunlight from 6.15am on. Not ideal when on a weekend break. It would also have been polite to have informed us of this rather than be dismissive of the issues when we went over on the afternoon of our arrival to say we had no blinds and that the small lights over the mirror in the bathroom did not work.
What a magnificent building and full of history. Luxury at every turn. Beautiful room superb bedding and fabulous refreshment selection.loved everything about it
There are no complaints here
Comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. Fabulous location. Lovely and helpful staff.
Some soft lighting in the living room would have made it really cozy.

Value for money! Convenient and safe area.
No allocated parking and was very busy when we got there.
Minor issue - the blind in my room couldn’t open fully which meant that the room was a bit gloomy
