Quirky and interesting place to stay for the theatre, port and city. Helpful friendly staff and good value for money.
Pros:

The location is lovely to explore the harbour area nd close to the city centre

Cons:

The pillows in room 2 were poor. Very soft, lacking filling and uncomfortable. The area could do with a regular shuttle bus to the city centre to draw people in and support the venues. Too many places to eat and not enough interesting shops which a bus would help.

Pros:

Lovely building and room, area was also very good, you could take a walk/swim at Devils point, also plenty of bars and restaurants. On the Saturday a brass came and played on the central green which was really lovely to see. Car parking was easy and included with the accommodation.

Cons:

Breakfast was included, served in the restaurant opposite, food was ok but prepare yourself for a long wait.

Relaxing and comfortable and will definitely return.
Pros:

The free parking right outside hotel for 24 hours very convenient. The location was excellent allowing us to wander around the old naval area and have a drink at leisure. Room extremely clean and well appointed with very comfy bed. Best night’s sleep I’ve had in a guest house! Restaurant staff extremely polite and helpful.

Cons:

Some of the restaurant food disappointing. My husband’s sirloin steak was thin and very chewy and although the breakfast was adequate, my eggs weren’t runny and the bacon was thin and hard.

Great location and food. Not great customer service for accommodation services.
Pros:

Good Selection at breakfast, and quality food

Cons:

Disjointed service. Restaurant staff appeared ambivalent to any stay, and room day to day queries. It seemed an inconvenience to their daily restaurant duties.I got the feeling that despite booking 3 consecutive nights stay that as a Booking.com customer you were dealt with as a lesser priority to those who had booked directly. We had booked a KIng size room which was very very small loft space room 14 with a sloping roof along one side (Not for tall people) It had one window that had a broken roman blind which then placed us in perpetual darkness as it could not be raised. Despite reporting this shortly after arrival it was met with indifference and it was made clear that nothing would be done to remedy this during our stay. When I queried how management had not been aware of this as housekeeping staff would have certainly known before our arrival that you were unable to get any natural light from the window or a view. I was swiftly told that nothing could be done as all rooms were fully booked that week. No one from maintenance came. So we spent our whole stay trying to roll the blind up and wedge it at the sash window to get some light and air. The rooms would do better using other property services businesses that operate on Royal William Yard to deal with their arrivals, and contact and for advice. I have had much better customer service in the past when renting numerous different apartments at The Yard over the years from other providers.

Great location in Plymouth
Pros:

We’ve stayed at Admiral’s House about half a dozen times now. Each time the room has been excellent; comfy bed, premium toiletries and spotlessly clean. It’s a great location just to spend time in Royal William Yard. The food in the Bistro is always good too.

Pleasant short break
Pros:

Period decor. Historic surroundings. Easy parking. Nearby fast chargers. Pleasant restaurant.

Cons:

I am 82. I was allocated a room on the second floor, no lift. It also faced away from the delightful square - all in all I guess it was the worst room in the hotel. I'm not sure why this one was allocated to me, as I had booked very, very far in advance.

But the room's facilities, size etc. were absolutely fine.
