Great breakfast - well worth waiting for. Lovely architecture and warm room. Really comfy bed. Very helpful staff and the food at their partner restaurant was great.
Breakfast doesn't start until 0800 so for those who have to be away early it's not ideal. If you can, it is worth waiting for though!
The staff and location were great. So friendly and very helpful.
I had no curtains or blinds or shutters in the bedroom. So it was no only awful in the morning but I had no privacy at all as I was on the lower ground floor. Also the TV int he bedroom had no plug so didn’t work. The mini bar had no power so wasn’t cold. The fan in the bathroom was so loud that I had to cut it off at the fuse. Also the radiators didn’t work in the bedroom (yes I moved the thermostats) and the towel rail didn’t work (yes I set the thermostat and put on the isolator switch). I had to use a bed throw and cushions just to get some sleep.
Lovely room
We’re in the attic so sloping ceiling
Husband couldn’t go that side of bed because he is tall.
Very clean beautiful decor
Water in lobby , fruit in bowl.

Amazing place
We liked it all
Clean, stylish and comfortable. Nice to stay somewhere with some history to it.
Was really lovely - no complaints.
It was sympathetically made into room + en-suite, with due consideration given to the history of the building.
It was a bit dingy from a lighting perspective, but I expect that was to try to be sympathetic to the original features.
location is great. fond a parking space right next door, so, all good. it was raining cats and dogs the whole of our stay, but have spent time around Plymouth for many years, so did not distract from our visit. the staff at the restaurant were super friendly, and the service/food was fabulous..!
the pictures of the rooms are great, but unfortunately, it is not made clear which room you will have?? we were at the top of the building, in a smaller room than we expected. apart from that , it was a great stay..
The room was small and there was a nasty smell in the bathroom. Definitely not worth it for the price point
Very nice to be served in the Bistrot for our breakfast
En Suite door difficult to open & close, and Roller blind was broken- two small items not up to the high standards of the rest of the accommodation
A very good historic location conveniently situated for our needs
Comfortable and well appointed room.
Good breakfasts .
Thoughtfully provided a dispenser with water flavoured with orange and lemon slices at the entrance to the Residence which was very welcome in the exceptional hot weather.
The attitude of a male member of staff to whom I spoke (but never subsequently met) I phoned prior to arrival as I had fractured my ankle a few days previously and had to wear a large surgical boot. Knowing from previous stays that the staircase was narrow and twisting I wondered whether it might be possible to have a ground floor room.should one be available. His immediate response was no as I should have made this request when booking. I pointed out that 3 months ago I had no idea I would have an accident ! He then said I couldn’t expect anything if I was phoning on the day of arrival. His manner was condescending and gave a poor impression
Strangely he did phone me back and said they might be able to arrange something but wouldn’t know until I arrived. In fact I did get a ground floor room for which I was most grateful but I realised it might not be possible so I felt his reaction was somewhat supercilious and let down the other members of staff whom I found pleasant and helpful
A small frustration was the difficulty parking in some instances. Although a parking permit is included there is no guarantee of a space and as Royal William Yard is very popular it was sometimes difficult and time was spent driving around in the hope of someone leaving.
Location, room, breakfast.
Perfect stay

Great location, comfy bed, really good pillows and all high quality
Parker up, got the key from the restaurant and checked in, within 5 mins, got to stay in an historical building at comfort.
They could do with some aircon. That is the only thing, but they had a Dyson fan, and the stonework keeps the bulding cooler then most .
