Ruhig aber dreckige, arme Gegend
Pros:

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, überraschend ruhig in der Nacht, ganz bequeme Betten und Hängematte im 1. Stock

Cons:

Sehr arme Gegend, der Weg über die Brücke geht über eine große Müllhalde am Meer... sie halten einen Babyaffen, wo ich mir bei der Geschichte darüber (wird sehr unterschiedlich erzählt) nicht ganz sicher bin, was stimmt. Aber sie kümmern sich gut.

Estaba en un buen sitio para pasear y cerca del puerto.

Estaba todo muy limpio. Y las camas eran cómodas.

El desayuno estuvo muy rico.

Y las instalaciones están muy bien.

Cons:

Deberían avisar de que tienen perros. Además uno te ladra.

Si vais a ir tenerlo en cuenta y no los toquéis.
Te recomiendan que pases de ellos y no te hacen nada.

Ein ganz liebevoll gestalteter Ort
Pros:

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit! Tolles Personal, schöne und saubere Zimmer, leckeres Frühstück und das Highlight waren für uns die Haustiere. Der Pool bot eine angenehme Abkühlung. Auch ein To-Go-Frühstück wurde uns zubereitet. Als wir nach unserem kleinen Insel-Roadtrip zurück nach Labuan Bajo kamen, konnten wir direkt über WhatsApp organisieren, dass wir wieder ein Zimmer bekommen. Und abends den Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse über der Bucht und dem Hafen zu sehen war auch ein Traum. Wir würden jedes Mal wiederkommen! Vielen Dank! 🙏🏼

Cons:

Am Pool könnten vielleicht richtige Sonnenliegen sein. Aber das nur als Kleinigkeit.

Heeerlijk fijn plekkie en toch lekker dichtbij het centrum!
Pros:

Super fijne plek met heel lief personeel en leuke eigenaresse! Lekker zwembad, uitzicht over de haven, AC, schoon en lekker relaxt plekkie net buiten de drukte. Paar honderd meter lopen en je bent op de hoofdstraat.

Heeeerlijk plekkie met super lieve mensen!
Pros:

Heeeeerlijk plekkie en er word goed voor je gezorgd door de lieve mensen! Alles goed schoon, lekker zwembadje, ontbijt met uitzicht, rustig plekkie net uit het drukke centrum, AC. Wel fijn dat je in een paar honderd meter bij het centrum bent om daar wat te eten of wat je ook wil doen.

I would recommend staying here if sick of the sameness of most resorts
Pros:

Quiet location close to town. Views of port from deck. Didn't try the pool as only there for one night. Very relaxing place to stay.

Cons:

Tricky for drop offs and pickup as no road outside. But

Pros:

The staff were incredibly friendly but the highlight of course was Lili the rescue monkey and their 3 adorable dogs all of whom are healthy and up to date on all vaccines. It was nice and quiet away from the main road and a nice get away.

Cons:

Wifi was a bit spotty at times.

Pros:

The staff and owner were great. Very friendly and helpful and someone was always there if you needed anything.

Cons:

The location near the river mouth and water’s edge was full of rubbish. No chance of swimming from the property. I pictured being by a beach but it wasn’t that at all. Also, not the easiest place to find. However, the property itself was lovely and felt like a sanctuary.

Fabulous Cool Breeze Hotel
Pros:

Everything! The hotel is more of a family run homestay, from the moment you arrive the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the edge of a local village with no cars or motorbikes so it's super quiet and peaceful. Right outside is the magnificent view of the harbour and boats. There's a boardwalk stretching in each direction.
Breakfast is yummy and served at whatever time you need it from 6.30am, coffee is available all day, free of charge and you can refill your water bottles at any time.
The bed and pillows were really comfy, the shower had the best water pressure ever!
About 5 minutes walk just up the hill is tons of cafes and restaurants, bars and warungs. We stayed 6 nights and I'm already missing it!
The staff also helped organise a trip for us to nearby Rinca island which was fantastic and they booked our taxi to the airport. Anything you need they'll try to help.
