Excellent stay, highly recommend
Pros:

We had a lovely stay as a family of three at this beautiful, boutique hotel. It is a short 5 minute tuk tuk from Hikkaduwa and about 30 minutes from Galle, located on a beautiful stretch of beach.

We preferred the location being slightly away from the main tourist parts of Hikkaduwa and couldn't have been happier with the hotel. Lovely staff, excellent breakfast and beautiful rooms and grounds.

We would highly recommend to couples or small families staying around Hikkaduwa. As there are only 6 rooms, you really feel like its having your own villa. Breakfast was included and you could get drinks all day, with a small afternoon food menu too. The staff helped organize travel as well as massages while we were there.

Sea Star Boutique Hotel - a very nice new hotel on the beach.

Enjoyed my stay in the beach hotel. I had a very lovely sea facing luxurious room with a balcony.
You can hear the waves from ocean which is so nice to fall asleep to. I loved having drinks on the balcony at sunset evening with great view and music.

The hotel has an infinity pool and beach loungers with shade. Beach front is great and can have a morning walk jog along the sea.

The staff is very professional and helpful ,the food is healthy and tasty.

I look forward to visiting again with family in the future.

Amazing facility and location, some issues with communication and costing which left a bad taste.
Pros:

Property itself is stunning.

Cons:

It showed free airport transfer and even showed on Booking.com. I showed this to the Resort however they did not honour. We also had other issues with transportation and costing which was quite disappointing.

Персонал восхитительный. Номера большие, завтраки великолепные! Отдыхали большой семьей, в т.ч. ребенок 2 года 8 месяцев, брали 2 номера. Все остались довольны. Менеджер отеля выше всяких похвал, каждое утро обходил гостей и интересовался, может у кого-то есть особые пожелания. Мы обращались пару раз с личными просьбами и он всегда помогал. Тишина, покой и умиротворение.

Wunderschönes Hotel,sehr großer Pool ,sehr sauber und hoher Standard.So gesehen sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.Aufmerksamer Service und wunderbares Frühstück.Der Hotelmanager ist auch sehr aufmerksam und erkundigt sich jeden Morgen ob man was braucht und ob alles in Ordnung ist.Problemlos konnten wir auch spontan eine Nacht länger bleiben und ein Taxi wurde auch organisiert um zum nächsten Standort zu kommen.Wenn wir wieder in Sri Lanka sind würden wir auch jederzeit wieder das Hotel buchen

Perfekt um zu entspannen.
Pros:

Lage: ausserhalb des Trubels, aber Fußläufig zu Restaurants, Bars und Surfspots. Freundlicher Service. Kleines Hotel und somit viel Platz am Pool und im Garten. Highlight: das auf der eigenen Terrasse servierte leckere Frühstück !

Cons:

AC macht den Raum etwas hell nachts.

Beautiful location, lovely small hotel.
Pros:

Beautiful comfortable room with a fantastic view. Pool lovely and the beach is stunning and quiet. Great snorkelling and there are restaurants walking distance along the beach. Can easily get a tuk tuk into Hikkaduwa which v cheap. Delicious breakfast and great coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Water was only available is small plastic bottles so a lot of plastic waste. A water filter available for guests to top up would be handy. Some noise from the road, trains and dogs at night but would be the same all along there.

Ein sehr gelungener Erholungsurlaub!
Pros:

• Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und äußerst freundlich.
• Große, weitläufige und sehr moderne Anlage, überwiegend mit deutschsprachigen Gästen.
• Toller Meerblick, alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt.
• Gute Angebote, z. B. für Massagen.
• Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Etwas mehr Abwechslung wäre jedoch schön, zum Beispiel ein Angebot für ein sri-lankisches Frühstück.
• Für ca. 400 Rupien (etwa 1 Euro) kommt man schnell und günstig in die Innenstadt.
• Wichtig zu wissen: Direkt am Hotel kann man nicht schwimmen. Dafür muss man ins Zentrum von Hikkaduwa fahren.

Cons:

• In der Dusche fehlt eine Ablage für Shampoo, Duschgel etc.
• In der Anlage lebt ein Hund, der nicht offiziell zum Hotel gehört, sich dort aber heimisch fühlt. Er reagiert vor allem auf Einheimische sensibel. Manche Touristen lassen ihn auch mit ins Zimmer, was für Allergiker wichtig zu wissen ist. Abends störte mich teilweise auch das Gebell, obwohl ich Hunde sehr mag.
• Die Marmelade beim Frühstück war immer die gleiche und schmeckte sehr künstlich. Sri Lanka hat sehr leckere Marmeladen (z. B. Mixed Fruit Jam oder Pineapple Jam) – hier gäbe es definitiv Verbesserungspotenzial.
• Das Hotel befindet sich nicht mehr direkt in Hikkaduwa, sondern in Kumarakanda. Die Gegend ist nicht besonders schön, allerdings kommt man wie erwähnt schnell und günstig ins Zentrum.

Wunderbarer Beginn für den Start einer Sri Lanka Reise um sich zu akklimatisieren
Pros:

Ruhige Lage direkt am Strand. Wegen der aufkommenden Wellen konnte man nur bis 11Uhr im Meer schwimmen. Ein gutes Frühstück und ein gemütliches gutes Restaurant am Strand 50 m entfernt haben wir genossen.
Der familiäre Dodanaduwa Tauch- und Wassersportclub nur 5 Minuten entfernt hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Auch für Ausflüge in die Lagune.

Cons:

Ich hätte mich über ein Moskitonetz gefreut. Leider war das Meer im Januar nicht klar genug zum Schnorcheln

Pros:

Schöne Liegeplätze auf einem sehr gepflegten Rasen. Super Aussicht auf das Meer und bei 6 Zimmern fast schon wie eine "Familie". Cool das es hier Campari Orange gibt :-).

Cons:

Schade das es beim Frühstück abgepackte Marmelade gibt, wo doch alles andere total frisch ist. Auch sehr schade das man die Bahn hört oder im Nebenhaus laute Streitigkeiten. Schade das man mit vorhandenen Wissen, Auto oder Tuk Tuk keinen Nutzen für Touristen macht !!!
