Location is right at the peaceful beach, as well as breakfast area. Place was basic and clean, staff helpfull and nice.

Nice location in front of the beach, although, you cannot swim in, there, it is still nice to breathe see breeze. The friendliness of the staff who went above and beyond for me. Even though they don't offers meals, the manager went above her duties to cook vegan meals for my son and the food that I liked. I cannot fault this hotel at all. It was all worth it!

We had a third floor room and the view was amazing, the room was great for three of us, and the staff was outstanding! At every turn Gwen, at the front desk, was extremely helpful with organizing rides, and scooter rental. Gwen took care of those small details that made the stay special. All the other staff members were also so helpful and one whose name I can remember is Klung (?). Thanks so much to the team! Also, just to manage expectations, this is not a 5 star hotel, but a hotel that is very cost effective. The beach out front has beautiful sunsets and walking but not so good for swimming. Vanilla Beach is just a short ride down the highway and it is a great place to visit and swim with lots of amenities!

Location is strategic: 4 minutes by tuktuk far away from Vanilla Beach and less than 10 from the chaotic El Nido downtown.
Surrounded by nice places where to have drinks at sunset (right in front of the hotel).
Sleeping with the waves sounds for me is a plus

The only bright light of this facility is the manager who is going over herself to maintain and run this place. Very friendly and very helpful.

If you usually stay in luxury hotels and think budget places aren’t worth it, this hotel in El Nido might completely change your mind.

It’s located right on the beach, only about a 10-minute drive from town, and perfectly positioned away from the noisy party areas. The peaceful setting makes it ideal for relaxing after a long day of exploring. They also offer motorbike rentals, which makes getting around easy, flexible, and affordable.

While the hotel isn’t fancy, it has everything you actually need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean, functional, and cozy. They sell cold drinks on-site, and breakfast is included, with both Western and local Filipino options to choose from. We even arrived late, well after normal check-in hours, and the staff still welcomed us warmly without making us feel like a burden.

A special mention goes to Gwen at reception. She’s local, incredibly kind, and always ready to help with recommendations, directions, and any questions. Her genuine hospitality really makes the place feel personal and welcoming.

I first stayed here before the pandemic and returned years later with a friend on his first trip to Southeast Asia. He said it felt like home and was amazed by the level of service. The hotel also helps arrange island-hopping tours, with convenient pick-up right outside the property.

We even booked an in-room massage through an external company, arranged by the hotel—highly recommended after a long day in El Nido.

If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, great service, and real value without unnecessary luxury, this place truly delivers. 10/10.

We had a great time at Desert Rose. The location is really nice, with amazing sunset views. The rooms are simple, but have everything that you need. Gwen, the best host, helps you with every request. For breakfast, we recommend the longanisa!

Esta a pie de playa, por la mañana la marea está baja pero aún así las vistas son preciosas, y por la tarde es un espectáculo para ver el atardecer. El personal es muy amable
