Pros:

The property itself is great, the facilities and restaurants, social club and pool. All first class

Cons:

The rooms are underwhelming. Small side, the water pressure in shower not great and for the cost.. no mini bar in rooms though they do provide some free snacks on arrival. Room service options terrible particularly of dietary requirements and no option for room service OR restaurant for breakfast. Only the Buffett breakfast at $$$

Absolutely beautiful property
Nice, new and very clean
Very easy walk into town from main lobby or over to the South bank with a bridge connecting on level 4 walking across the river

Cons:

I myself find the beds a bit too hard for my body, I felt very stiff and painful every morning

Amazing stay, beautiful hotel, fabulous finishes and stunning decor
Pros:

The staff were so helpful and accommodating. We arrived late due to a flight cancellation and they could not have been more understanding. The experience from check in to check out was seamless and the finishes in the room were beautiful. (We like minimal and streamlined interiors so this suited us so much). The location was so great for our short stay too.
The slippers provided are so comfortable (nicer than all other 5* stays we have had) I really could not speak more highly about the staff and the attention to detail.
The stay was so lovely and every request was handled with ease. I would recommend anyone visiting Brisbane to stay.

Spent my stay trapped in lift. Girlfriend in tears.

Awful experience. Got stuck in a lift for a hour at this hotel, which I find not acceptable for a hotel of this stature. The lift was boiling hot and we both was sweating buckets, my girlfriend is extremely claustrophobic and was in tears in the lift. When we finally got out the lift we sat with duty manager as I was not happy that to pay so much per night to stay in a hotel for this to happen. I felt it was appropriate for a refund for the night minimum, as it’s not an inconvenience issue and it’s heath and safety issue. As we physically feel in the lift and was awfully frightening. When I presented this to the duty manager I was offered ‘breakfast’. When I then told her this was unacceptable I was then offered a 25% percent discount, which is laughable. She also then said ‘you don’t have to stay here’ which is extremely disrespectful I took that as almost saying if you don’t like it leave. Which shows me clearly this hotel prioritising profit rather than reputation and care of guests. I followed this up in the morning and was told someone would contact me in the morning which hasn’t happened. I feel I would have been treated better in a travelodge.
