The Community - Siem Reap

A must stay if you’re in Siem Reap. The friendliest staff who really make the place feel like home. Decorated beautifully, rooms a great size and facilities are excellent. Easy to get a tuktuk from the front of the hotel into town (for just $1) and also did the small temple tour which was fantastic. Breakfast and food options were lovely and fairly priced.

We absolutely loved everything about our 5-night stay at The Community! It is hard to cover everything that is great about the property without writing a novel, but I’ll give it a shot:

- The hospitality is top-notch! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and they were ready to assist us with anything we could imagine. For example, they helped us arrange a day of exploring temples with a private driver, transportation to town ($1 tuk tuks that were readily available), and an in-room couples’ massage. They even booked us a private driver to Phnom Penh at the end of our stay.

- The property is beautiful and very peaceful. It is set back a bit from the street, and the breakfast, dinner and pool areas all feel like an oasis. There is an art gallery on site, and all of the artwork in the rooms/hallways may be purchased - we really loved several pieces and were sad we couldn’t figure out how to ship back to the US. There are also several little cats on the property that are so adorable!

- Our room (king suite) was spacious and comfortable. We could not hear any street noise and noise from the hallway was minimal despite being close to the staircase. The bed is on the firm side, but we found it comfortable and the pillows were great. The air conditioning also works well and there is a powerful ceiling fan. There is free cold drinking water in the lobby (they give you a huge refillable canister).

- All the food was great (not to mention generous portions). We had breakfast each morning, which came with complimentary fresh fruit and lime juice. The coffee was among the best we’ve had in SE Asia. We also had dinner two nights and particularly enjoyed the cocktails.

We do a lot of traveling, and overall this may be the best value hotel we have ever stayed at. We cannot recommend enough!

This is such a fantastic place to stay while in Siem Reap. It’s an oasis of calm, a home away from home. The location is great - just a few minutes by tuk tuk into town but away from the hustle and bustle of the central area. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and so helpful - always ready with suggestions and advice if you want it but never a hint of pressure. They will arrange safe and kind drivers for you, at very competitive rates, and someone is always at hand to drop you into town or take you around the temples. On arrival, we were immediately introduced to Regina, who works front of house. For the next 4 days, she was our main contact. She was so helpful and made everything so easy for us during our stay.
The hotel is beautifully designed with large comfortable rooms. There is an emphasis on sustainability and supporting the local artistic community - the little gallery is lovely.
The two pools are lovely. There are several very nice garden areas to sit and have a drink or a meal. The wifi is strong and reliable. We loved it here and would definitely stay here again.

Everyone at The Community was so nice! My room was very big and the AC worked amazing. The hotel is beautiful! I loved the tea time and all the kitties. The front desk was very helpful in arranging my tour to Angkor Wat. They paired me with Leap who was super professional and knowledgeable. There are tuk tuks always available to get you around town, or wherever you may need to go. I loved my 3 day stay!

Everything was perfect, the place is beautiful, very clean, well maintained, I got a nice big room and the staff are great, they really take care of their guests. A special thanks to the wonderful Sophia: she spoke excellent English and was always very friendly and helpful.

Personeel & value for money

A very hip and stylish hotel, carefully designed with great attention to detail and extremely welcoming in its simplicity.

We really appreciated the possibility to refill drinking water for free throughout the property — a small detail that makes a big difference.

The restaurant area was excellent: the food was delicious and the space itself was very cozy, set in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. It’s also possible to see a wonderful sunset. The two swimming pools are also a beautiful feature and make the stay even more enjoyable.

The staff was outstanding — very kind, attentive, and thoughtful about every detail. They also gave us very useful information for visiting the temples, which we really appreciated.
The rooms are functional and comfortable.
Absolutely recommended.

Wow what an experience!! 5 star treatment from arrival and the whole way through. The staff make the effort of remembering your name and greeting you every time you walk by. The room was lovely and big with a very comfortable bed. The staff decorated the bed for my partners birthday which was such a lovely touch!! The hotel is beautiful with a very calm vibe to it. I highly recommend

Hotel jest piękny sam w sobie, dużo zieleni i ładna aranżacja przestrzeni. Najlepiej zapamiętam osoby pracujące w hotelu. Nigdzie nie czułam się tak zaopiekowana i mile widziana jak w The Community. Nawet po wymeldowaniu obsługa proponowała mi korzystanie z atrakcji hotelu, takich jak basen czy osobna łazienka i ręcznik.
