Traget safari home stay

It is a place that gives you good value. The breakfast here is great. I highly recommend this place. You can book a safari for a very cheap price. The special thing about this place is that it is very close to everything. You can walk to the elephant milking station from this place.

The cabin is very nice! The bathroom is also very nice. The beds are comfortable. Very peaceful place. A beautiful safari. Value for money. The room is very nice!

It was so peaceful, the room exceeded our expectations - it was beautiful. The grounds are really well kept and very tidy. The family who run the lodge are kind, caring and amazing people.

They also offer a wonderful safari that you can arrange.

Not to mention the food! Wow Madhu is a very good cook. Her food is amazing. I highly recommend eating at the on-site restaurant as it was the most delicious food we had in Sri Lanka.

The owners were friendly and very helpful, organising two great safaris for us. The guide was excellent, adapting the safari to our interests, whilst enabling us to see a wide range of wildlife. The home cooked breakfast and evening buffet were delicious and provided a real taste of Sri Lankan food. The resort is in a great location for visiting the national park and provided real value for money.

We loved Traget safari home stay! It is located about 10 minutes from the entrance of Udawalawe Park and is in a beautiful location among the trees. The manager Ravidu and his wife were very friendly and organized a wonderful safari for us to the park. We saw over 50 elephants and other animals, so we had a great time. Our room at the hotel was large, comfortable and very clean. We also had a lovely dinner at the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to do a safari in Udawalawe. It was excellent value for money.

This place is so beautiful - and so are the hosts! It's so peaceful, with plenty of space to sit outside and watch the monkeys and the train. The dinner + breakfast was fantastic, the place was very clean and welcoming and Ravi arranged a tuk tuk to the falls for us on our departure morning. We will definitely be back and hope many more people come to stay at this wonderful place.

The location was great. The breakfast was good,. The room was spacious. Had a nice big balcony! The owner was extremely helpful and really tried to help me correct the mistakes I made in my original booking. Overall, a great place!👌

The houses are beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings, providing a safe and unique wilderness experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our needs, even providing us with meals from their on-site kitchen. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the setting and the connection with nature. The facilities were clean and well maintained, with ample electricity and WiFi to keep us connected when needed. This place is perfect for a true wildlife adventure with a touch of comfort. Highly recommended!

Very good accommodation, friendly staff. Very clean rooms, especially the bathroom. They provided us with delicious Sri Lankan food. We had been on safari twice in Sri Lanka, but this was our third time in Udawalawe and it was organized by this hotel. They provided us with a young driver with 10 years of experience and knowledge and a jeep. He explained everything about each animal, especially the lifestyle of elephants. This was the best safari we had in Sri Lanka. Of course, organizing the safari with the hotel was the best. Thank you very much for everything.

We stayed here for one night. The accommodation is wonderful. Really nice staff. We had a great dinner here. The park is beautiful at night with the lights. We booked a safari tour from them. We saw leopards, elephants and many animals. The driver was great, he knows every place in the park. Very comfortable jeep. The next day we booked a taxi from them. The prices are cheap. Before booking the taxi we ask because the city is expensive. But here the prices are reasonable. Thank you all.

A great place for a safari. The accommodation was basic but clean and functional. There was a good evening meal on site. The owner was very helpful, organising our morning safari and sending us off with a packed breakfast. Our driver was an excellent spotter and pointed out many creatures we would have missed otherwise.

This was our favorite place to stay during our entire stay in Sri Lanka. Amazing value for money with everything you need - hot shower, air conditioning, spacious room, mosquito net, fan. It was perfect! The dinner at the guesthouse was amazing too. We booked our safari through them and it was a 10/10. I would recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Udawalawe.✨❤️

He is the best guide/driver we have ever had: ethical ✅, calm 🧘‍♂️, he doesn't follow the same route as everyone else.
He knows the park and the animals well and speaks excellent English.

He showed us two very different sides of the park between the morning 🌅 and evening 🌇 safaris.
Close your eyes and go for it — both the room and the guide are top notch!

A good place to stay in Udawalawe. A quiet place in a convenient location for both the city and the countryside.. The location is especially good. You can see the sunrise and sunset from there. The room is very good. The air-conditioned silence and no outside disturbances. The bed and pillows are comfortable enough. The bathroom is basic and good. The host was friendly and helpful and organized transportation for us on a number of occasions, including the safari. He is a very good cook, we loved his jackfruit curry.

We loved our stay. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. It looked very basic due to the price and photos, but it was everything you could possibly need. You still have all the comforts you could possibly need. The owner of the place helped us plan the safari trip and it was unforgettable. Our guide was very nice and super professional. We really enjoyed our stay.

The room is spacious and clean. The plugs are also suitable for Europeans. The air conditioning provides a pleasant coolness. Water and sugarcane drinks are welcome.

Prepared us a delicious Sri Lankan lunch, brought watermelon when we asked for extra fruit.
He also took us on a safari in his jeep. Careful driver, knows the park well, met many elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes, lovebirds, monkeys, various birds. A delicious breakfast was served in a secluded place by the lake. Pancakes and sandwiches were delicious.

Very kind and friendly hosts. We have met many people in Sri Lanka and this couple made a really good impression on us. They welcomed us with juice and cake and were full of good conversation.
The room is clean, has air conditioning, fridge, hot water. Breakfast is included. We also did a safari with them. You can do both morning and evening safaris. We saw many elephants and other animals :) They also give the best price for the jeep.
