Spectacular would return.
Pros:

Location was prime but also peaceful and relaxing while being close to beautiful sights, shopping and easy to navigate. The room was beautiful, super spacious, clean and incredibly comfortable. The beds were great and we had a private in room onsen that was truly the highlight. Pajamas and yukata were provided in the room as well.

Cons:

Nothing it was really lovely.

Highlight of our Japan trip
Pros:

This was easily our favorite hotel of our 2-week trip to Japan. Staff is extremely kind and attentive, there are small snacks & drinks provided in the lobby throughout the day, samples of local sake & wine, and the gelato bar was something we took advantage of every night! The room itself was amazing - large space with beds and a sitting area, and the in-room onsen was much appreciated after long days of exploring. The location was also perfect - it's in the middle of many tourist attractions, but tucked away on a quiet street. Overall we absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto!

Relaxing night away from the commotion with onsen and traditional Japanese breakfast.
Pros:

The rooms were great, beds were comfortable, space was huge and the Onsen was relaxing. We loved the traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning.

Cons:

We would skip the dinner if we were to do it again. We thought it was going to be a relaxing night in the hotel, but they had to drive us elsewhere. The views were generally of a graveyard, but it was still a nice feel.

I'd score it 10+ if possible. We had an exceptionally comfortable stay, service was excellent, breakfast- delicious! Location perfect. An oasis of calm refinement. Would definitely return again.
