Scam
Pros:

Cons:

The owners didn’t respond to email or phone calls. When we arrived the owner said she didn’t know we were coming and that the room wasn’t ready for us. They then wouldn’t give us a refund and made things very inconvenient for us.

Book.com should remove the from the site because I believe they’re scammers.

Nothing. *** THIS IS A SCAM*** Arrived to be told the room was never available and this was a "joke" booking. Absolute disgrace!

Was told they tried to contact me on the day to cancel.
This booking was made months and months ago so they could have cancelled anytime.

Trying to get a refund as this is clearly a scam.

Where would you like us to start?
1. Wasn’t expecting us
2. The room wasn’t ready so they had to go make the bed and leave us outside .
3. The house was an absolute mess , there was clothes all scattered on the staircase and shoes and I nearly fell as I was exiting the property
4. Broken window in the bedroom, with glass still sticking out.
5. Curtains and blinds all broken.
6. No lock on the door.
7. Someone’s clothes in the wardrobe.
8. The bathroom was obviously being used by other people and just had loads of stuff in there
9. I dread to think how we were going to dry ourselves after showering
It basically looked as if we kipping in someone’s room, it was not professional. It was awful and we had to go and find a last-minute.com hotel because we did not feel comfortable staying in a house that was dirty and completely full of clutter.

This is a room in someones home. Comfortable, clean and has parking.
Pros:

Felt welcome in their home, had entire upstairs to myself with easy access to bathroom and in and out of premises. Was able to park car securely on premises. Room was clean and tidy

Cons:

Didn't have a kettle or usual coffee, tea, milk etc in the room. Had to use it in the kitchen with host family there. I prefer ensuite bathroom for privacy. Felt like I was staying in someones bedroom, if you know what I mean. And although I'd asked for a receipt and was told they'd give me one, I never received it even after emailing them, I've not heard back. Bit disappointed really

Pleasant host, but I will be much more careful about booking in future. My lesson, wrong pick

Location reasonable for two days work.

I only slept in the accommodation

Host was positively friendly

Cons:

No heating in bathroom.
Bedroom cool (OK to sleep but nothing else.
Didn’t expect to have someone living in the accommodation at the same time.
Bathroom messy with toothbrushes, cleaning solutions etc.
Aroma of tobacco smoke in bedroom.
Two previous feedback scores of 10 likely to be friends.
