Best Hotel near Otaru
Pros:

It has one of the best breakfast buffet in all my stay, with free flow of sashimi, and quite some variety of tempura, and some selection of dessert, soup curry, teppanyaki, etc.

Cons:

The room could be a bit bigger.

Convenient hotel for a one day visit to Otaru.
Pros:

Location is great, opposite to the station, near the fish market and the canal. All walking distance. Breakfast was very good

Cons:

The entrance was messy, lots of suitcases waiting in the lobby. The front desk staff was just OK with limited English
