The location is beautiful. Off a busy road, but little noise at the back and wonderful views over the hills. The owner is incredibly helpful and he will get tuk tuks into Ella (NB a good 15/20 ride away). The rooms were spacious and very clean.
NB there is no restaurant so factor the tuk tuk rides into your budget.
WiFi is very poor, but to be expected in a remote area
It’s not the best value for money, and small things like plug points and fans not working. Also, you need to ask for hot water to be turned on 45mins in advance. We needed it as the weather was very unseasonal !
Beautiful terrace with a green view in front of our rooms, nice rooms, very helpful staff, very good breakfast
It is quite far away from Ella town
Friendly local staff. We were lucky to have the owner on site who cooked for us excellent food. Located just outside the busy part of Ella this is and excellent place to chill and meditate.
Facilities were clean and we enjoyed hot water!
Not sure restaurant is fully functioning. I suggest you reach out and ask in advance if this is an issue.
Property is run by very nice & caring staff. View from room is excellent with a view of little Adam’s Peak . Little far from Ella Down town but yeah good seclusion & silence !
Incredible Mountain View, quiet place in the road (but you can’t hear any noise), nice breakfasts, very kind chill stuff
Had some issues with hot water, it’s a bit far from Ella if you don’t have a vehicle, there is nothing in a walking distance
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ella Wild Waterfall Inn, nestled near the breathtaking Ravana Falls in Ella, Sri Lanka. This charming inn exceeded all my expectations, offering a serene escape with the sounds of cascading water in the background.
From the moment we arrived, the outstanding hospitality of the staff made a lasting impression. Kozi and Kalu were truly exceptional; their warmth and friendliness instantly made us feel at home. They were always ready with genuine suggestions on local attractions and hidden gems, ensuring we made the most of our time in this beautiful region.
The inn itself is beautifully maintained, with comfortable accommodations that allow you to unwind in nature. The rooms have a view of the little Adam’s peak in front and Ella Rock on the left. After a day of exploring, it was refreshing to return to such a welcoming atmosphere.
Everything was great. Please carry mosquito repellent that are Deet-free.
View from terrace is stunning. Breakfast was good. Rooms are big, comfortable
Very far from city. Bathroom was not clean.
The view is beautiful ❤️😍
Good stay
This was totally great experience. First, the view is best. Second the stuff, they create a great service.
It’s better to stay here, not in center Ella town, if you want relax and feel the vibe of mountains
I had a fantastic stay at Ella Whild waterfall inn.The view from the balcony area is exceptional.the place was very comfortable.great staff making my stay really comfortable and always willing to help with a smile.kosala has organized everything for me in Ella. It was wonderful.he also took care of all my transportation needs to Ella town and other attractions, which was very convenient. The room and the service were excellent 👏I had a Sri Lankan dinner at the hotel which was lovely and the Sri Lankan breakfast was also very delicious 😋.
The best feature was how friendly and helpful the two staff members (Kosala and his assistant) were. The view from the balcony sitting area is exceptional. The wifi was quite decent and I have no complaints about it. Kosala and his assistant (sorry, I forget his name) were always with a smile and that made it easier for us to forget about the things that we didn't like, at least for a while.
The bathrooms were not clean. There was a really intolerable stench emanating from the outlets of the shower and wash basin that it even permeated to the bedroom. We were 6 people in 3 rooms. One room in particular was terrible. There was no "hot water" that could be classified as "hot" water. The first day the water was cold, and the second day, it was better but still one say it was hot water. The room rate was very affordable and so we were not expecting very luxurious accommodations. But clean toilets and hot water are a must, whatever the room rate is. While booking.com says that there is an on-site restaurant, there really is not.
Let me also add, this is not the first time that we have been misled by the ratings on booking.com. I am a frequent user of booking.com but I have decided not to rely on the rating they post. I am more disappointed with booking.com than with the hotel.
Great staff and hotel view, a bit away from the city but it's a good stay overall, near to the Ravana Water and Secret falls with a 20 mins walk. Overall a good stay and a very delicious breakfast!
Distance from the Ella town, it's a bit far
The breakfast was lovely. Great to have gluten-free food. The location looking out to the forest and mountains was stunning
There was no wifi and no top sheet for the bed. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
Gorgeous view, delicious breakfast and very kind staff.
No card machine for payment (despite what it says on booking), damp smell of towels and linens.
Really nice place with amazing views. Nisal the host was great, always willing to help and making our stay really comfortable.
Gorgeous views of the mountains from the terrace and can see lots of monkeys. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was good. The manager, Nisal, was very friendly and helpful and made sure to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The WiFi was poor. The power went out a few times. There was mostly no hot water. The bathroom had loads of ants but we tried to ignore this based on the fact we were staying somewhere in nature. Curtains were very thin and offered little privacy or protection from the sunlight. Breakfast was included in the price but when we got there they said we had to pay extra for breakfast because they had made a mistake on booking.com. We then booked another night and paid more when booking to include breakfast but were then told this new rate didn’t include breakfast by the main boss and we again had to pay more!! We were understanding the first time but thought the second time they would include breakfast seeing as we had already paid more. This left a bitter note to our stay and based on this we wouldn’t stay again.
